Ian and Jeanmarie Butterfield established Butterfields to provide air conditioning maintenance services in South Australia. By the late 1980s Butterfields had developed into a major mechanical services contractor orientated towards the South Australian Construction Industry. In the early 1990s, Butterfields made the strategic decision to move away from large construction projects and focus on our clients' maintenance and project needs.
While Butterfields' origins are in air conditioning, we have now applied our systems and knowledge to plumbing and electrical services across South Australia, Northern Territory, Victoria and Western Australia.

Butterfields Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) has been developed specifically for Butterfields. Butterfields focuses heavily on API integration to directly and securely update our clients' systems. As part of the reporting procedures, our team completes Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) before performing any works.
