Thank you Christine and Katie for making us feel warmly welcomed and so well looked after. Our wedding anniversary was made even more memorable by the elegant luxury of the rooms, the building and the gardens. The restoration of this heritage building to a fully functional modern mansion was a feat of Christine’s passion and design ability to which she added her fine taste in period furniture, art and ornaments. Treat yourself to a bygone era in a historic country town, you’ll be amazed.

One of the finest accomodation experiences we have ever had. Christine and her crew are perfect hosts. We had Rev Samuel Marsden's bedroom for our stay. From a quiet drink on the upper balconey to lively discussion around the breakfast table, Bishops Court is a perfect retreat from today's hectic, and bland world. Though we had our own bathroom, it was down the hall. Magnificent building exquisitely furnished.

Victorian house with modern touches. Lots of places to sit indoors and outdoors and read or reflect. Beautiful gardens and a friendly resident cat. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are very clean and well presented. The whole estate is lovely and it is a quiet street on top of the hill. The owner Christine was very friendly and helpful, and had a lot of local knowledge about Bathurst and the things to see and do there.

This was a surprise pre-booked by my girlfriend and I had no knowledge of what I was walking in to.
Arriving at Bishops Court was like stepping out of the wardrobe, and into Narnia.
Immediately there’s a wave of calm, and we were greeted at the door with welcoming energy.
As soon as we stepped inside we felt relaxed.
Smell = home (and the most mouth watering aromas from the kitchen)
Sound = peace
Warmth = crackling fire and cat doing the figure eight around my feet
Meeting the family
Warmth = like a favourite auntie you haven’t seen for years
Comfort = mi casa es su casa
