Pain arising from the muscles and surrounding connective tissue (myo) can be treated by manual therapy professionals. Myotherapy involves the assessment and treatment of pain, injury and dysfunction which can affect movement and mobility. In addition to short term pain relief, your myotherapist can assist you with any long term health or lifestyle goals.
Women experience a range of symptoms during pregnancy, from general muscle aches and pains and difficulty sleeping to headaches and morning sickness. Massage and other forms of manual therapy by a qualified pregnancy myotherapist are safe for both mother and growing baby, and can help to provide much needed pregnancy relief from these symptoms.
Here at Adaptive Myotherapy, cupping therapy, delivered as part of a holistic and individualised myotherapy treatment plan, can help. Cupping therapy is an alternative form of medicine that has links to Traditional Chinese Medicine. In cupping therapy, special round cups are attached to your body, normally your back and shoulders.
Here at Adaptive Myotherapy, dry needling, delivered as part of a holistic and individualised myotherapy treatment plan, can help. A treatment technique that has been adapted from acupuncture, dry needling is the use of very fine needles that are inserted to deactivate or desensitise myofascial trigger points, providing pain relief.

Karen is amazing. I've had an old motorbike injury, shoulder, that's bothered me for over 10 years. Saw physios, osteos and numerous massage therapists and no one could isolate what was going on. Karen worked it out within 5 minutes. I've been seeing her for over a year now and shoulder feels the same as it did before my accident. Absolutely awesome. Can't recommend her enough.

I had some lower back issues due to my work. Karen brought her portable bed to my house and worked on my back, relieving some of my pain and increasing movement. She also noticed some postural issues that may be contributing to my problem, and recommended some exercises and stretches to address that. Very professional. Cannot recommend highly enough!
