Connected to the winery by massive solid Oregon doors, the Cellar Door Sales and Tasting Rooms are located in the former Auchenflower House Billiard Room, a famous Brisbane landmark and iconic Queenslander, home to three former Queensland Premiers - Sir Thomas McIllwraith, Sir Arthur Palmer and Thomas Ryan.
Albert River Wines - Vineyard Restaurant is a unique Australian dining experience. Our vineyard restaurant is located on the sweeping verandah of "Auchenflower House", overlooking the lush green valley of vines with a stunning backdrop of Tamborine Mountain. Our Head Chef Malcolm Hope has over 40 years experience in the high end food industry.
Our exquisite and Historical function venues, Auchenflower House Ballroom or Tamborine House Verandah boast remarkable 1800's architectural design, seating 120 guests, or take advantage of our new outdoor Vineyard Deck under the stars seating 150 guests. Each venue has sweeping views of the vineyard, manicured gardens and the Mountains of Tamborine beyond.

Booked in here for lunch today, it is a half hour from home and I have no idea why it has taken me so long to try this venue out. The setting and the venue here are excellent, food was good and most of all the staff here are outstanding and should be commended we felt welcome and nothing was too much trouble, this is rare and very refreshing, well done, we will be back.

Stunning location but I would suggest a new chef. I agree with the other guy. I had the lamb blackstrap and my wife had the salmon. We both felt like they were cooked previously and reheated or frozen. The attempted cover up were inappropriate sauces. The vegetables were good but mushrooms with salmon just does not work. We had the cheese, with no quince is unusual. The coffee was poor, but that’s normal even for very good restaurants. The wait staff were great.

From the moment we turned into the tree lined driveway that curved up to the historic house sitting above the vineyard, we knew we were in for something special. We had only decided 15 minutes beforehand to give it a try for lunch as we were in the area.
We were warmly greeted and seated on the stunning verandah overlooking the beautiful valley and across to Mount Tamborine. Everything was so relaxed and the service was great. We were very impressed with the meals, which were fresh, carefully cooked and presented, and delicious. I tried the semillon sauvignon blanc which was a fantastic mouth

We had a lovely lunch at Albert River Wines - the staff were lovely and friendly, the food was really beautiful and the setting is amazing. We loved the new menu, especially now having such good vegetarian and vegan options (thank you!!) It was a thoroughly enjoyable day all around, thanks so much for making our day! Will definitely be returning!

On the weekend we had our wedding at Albert River. We cannot express how grateful and lucky we were to go on this journey with Kylie by our side. Throughout the craziness of covid, Kylie never stopped being supportive and understanding. Knowing that your venue has your every need sorted and organised makes a huge difference on your day. We cannot recommend Kylie and Albert River highly enough and thank them for our wonderful day.

Kylie, Monique and their team were amazing from start of our wedding journey to the big day. Nothing was too hard and they went out of their way to make sure we were all on the same page with all decisions. The venue was absolutely beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the food that was served that night.
