Services
I graduated in 2005 with a double degree in Physiotherapy and Exercises Science from Griffith University on the Gold Coast. With a passion for health care and sports injury, I spent the next few years working in private practice working with a large variety of patient types and enjoyed providing physiotherapy services for 1st grade rugby union and AFL teams.
Our goal using evidence based practice (things that work!) is to educate and empower you to self manage your condition and help you get back to your desired activities quickly and safely. With 14 years experience in the clinical field Hamish our Broadbeach Physio will ensure a accurate diagnosis to your injury leading the way for a successful intervention.
Having played high level rugby, tennis and more recently competing in a number full marathons and triathlons, our physiotherapist Hamish has both the clinical knowledge and personal experience to help treat and manage all sporting injuries. He understands the frustrations that come with not being able to participate in our beloved sports when injured.
Acute back pain can be extremely painful. You may remember doing a movement or event that triggered it or you may just wake up with it or gradually develop it. We know back pain now affects up to 80% of the population at some stage. The good news is most episodes of acute back pain are simple strains that produce a lot of pain.
Knee pain is a very common issue seen at our Broadbeach physiotherapy clinic. Knee pain can be the result of trauma eg a fall, sporting injury or accident or it can be a progressive injury through overuse or a change in the knees normal load tolerance. Eg Starting a new sport or increasing the amount running you do too quickly.

Hamish is one awesome Physio!
We represent a large Physio group in Sydney and we rarely sing the praises of other Physios interstate unless we feel they deserve it... Hamish is one such Physio that deserves the recognition for not only being an amazing practitioner but also an innovator in the field #fasciitisfighter. Look no further if you are in search of a top Physio to sort out your injury!

Came to Hamish with a tweaked back for the gym and received some of the most eye opening advice I've ever had. "Trust your body, it's pretty smart" - what a wild concept!
After a good consult I had some excercise to do and a plan to get back into the gym as soon as possible. Within a few weeks I was back to normal and deadlifting more than I was before hand. I could never have thought I'd get better so quick.
Hamish was knowledgable ands very clear in how he communicated what I needed to do to get better. I recommended a friend go to see him and he too was back in the gym so quickly.
Highly

Saw Hamish for my shoulder when I was up on holiday. He was incredibly thorough and listened while I explained my symptoms. Once he had diagnosed the issue (which was different to what I thought it was!) he then talked me through what was going on and then set me some exercises. He followed up with me while I was back in Melbourne to check how it was going. Great service. Knows his stuff. Might save up all my niggles for when I am on holiday on the Coast in future!

I have known Hamish for 20 years and we have both pursued careers in Health Care. As a Medical Officer in the Army for a number of years I dealt with complex injuries in 'athletes' regularly. Having recently transitioned to Private General Practice I continue to contact Hamish regularly for advice. He has the ability to digest complex research and apply the latest evidence in a simple and effective manner, which is extremely valuable for me in General Practice. I have made significant changes in the way I approach common musculoskeletal injuries and without doubt have improved patient outcomes

I came to see Hamish few weeks ago with an acute pain in my lower back shooting down my leg and a very painful Achille which I had since Christmas. In just 5 treatments the pain in my back is completely gone and my Achille feels also much better. He is the first physio to give me excersise to do at home and that helped and is still helping tremendously. Like said my daughter who also went to see him. Last week " he has magic fingers!" I would recommend Hamish to anyone in need of physio treatment. To finish a very pleasant and easy to talk physiotherapist!
