Has it ever occurred to you that your pain or other discomforts could come from your muscles? When you touch your skin with a little bit of pressure you may notice that it feels hard underneath. It might even hurt when you press into a muscle. However, most people are not aware of their muscles except when they don't do what they want them to do or when they feel sore after overuse, usually from straining exercise or repetitive movements.

It is no wonder that we often unwittingly misuse our muscles. Most people know that they should exercise more to strengthen their muscles, but apart from that they know very little about their muscular system. The skeletal muscles make up a large part of your body mass (about 42% in men and 36% in women) and are therefore very important for overall wellbeing.
Services
Can you recall those years as a young adult when you had lots of energy and didn't have any aches and pains, and when moving wasn't a problem and you did everything with youthful vigour? Therapeutic / remedial massage therapy is not a 'feel-good' luxury item. On the contrary, it is something everyone should have regularly if he or she wants to stay fit and enjoy life longer.
What clients liked about our treatment: "Professional and caring manner, coupled with effective massage treatment". There are so many different styles of massage that it's difficult to know which is best for you. We have listed some well known massage styles and shed some light on these different modalities.
Remedial massage is the systematic assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management. It is performed to create favorable conditions for the body to return to normal health after injury.

At ToThePoint Massage, we are devoted to providing this kind of thorough and professional assessment and individually tailor treatment plans for each and every client.Whether one suffers from a chronic condition, an acute injury, or a mild to moderate pain level, every one of our clients receive the same specialized care.
Trigger Point Therapy is not just one among many forms of manual therapies which help to relieve your pain. It is in fact possibly the best manual therapy for pain in that it directly addresses the root cause of about 75 percent of chronic undiagnosed pain, namely trigger points. Myofascial trigger point syndrome (MPS) continues to be one of the most commonly missed diagnoses.
Cupping therapy entails placing cups made of glass, plastic or silicone on the client's skin. The therapist then uses different techniques to create a vacuum that holds them in place and can also move them all over the body. During the last few years cupping treatments have become very popular among clients and therapists alike.

The treatment I have received from Barbara has helped me immensely. I first started seeing her with multiple issues and she has patiently and professionally worked on each one with a thorough and meticulous focus. I highly recommend her massage therapy - I have also never encountered a practitioner with such a detailed knowledge of anatomy that she is willing to share with clients to help them further understand both what she is doing and what the issue is so injuries/issues can be avoided in future!

I've seen Barbara a number of times over the years and I always feel welcomed and cared for. Each time I walk away from my appointment feeling a million dollars! She's amazing and getting to the source of my issues and she's always my first port of call for muscle pain and headaches. I highly recommend her services, extremely good value for money!

Highly recommended, professional, and effective massage therapy.
Many years ago I first saw Barbara for remedial massage for a shoulder issue, and her deep tissue massage was amazing! Have just started coming back to relieve long-standing muscular tension as a result of dance and life. :) Outstanding massage, looking forward to becoming a regular. Thanks Barbara!

I have been in constant pain (back pain) for over 7 months, but after only 1 treatment with Barbara I felt so much better. Now I have had 3 treatments and can walk along the beach with my dog pain free! After 6 months of Physio and Chiro I have finally found somebody who can really help me. I have my quality of life back! Thank you so much Barbara, I will be your life long fan!

Barbara has an overwhelming desire to give her patients relief from pain-nothing more-nothing less...simple as that.
Her own experience with self treatment has given her an insight into both giving the necessary treatment and enabling the patient-long term to self administer treatment themselves in order to gain pain relief.
She thinks outside the square and is methodical in her approach to administering each session tailored to each patient.
I would recommend Barbara as an affable professional who really believes in the value of her work...she has helped me no end in rediscovering that life

My work as an Aged Care worker sometimes leaves me sore all over. I went to Barbara not knowing what to expect but she was really good and gentle and told me what she was doing. I think the best compliment a massage therapist can get is if you fall asleep on her table and boy did I do that several times! You bet I will be going back :)
