Jade Aura Massage is small business owned and operated by Candice Mace. The name Jade Aura was chosen because to have a "Green or Jade Aura" means that you are a healer, which is what we promote here at Jade Aura Massage. Jade Aura recognises that every person is different in their needs and physical make up, and therefore every massage will be individually tailored to suit your body and your needs.
All massages at Jade Aura are individually tailored to suit the person. This ensures the correct course of care is delivered for your individual needs. Due to minimal overheads, our rates are extremely competitive. Our prices reflect the recommended fees as set by the Massage Association of Australia and also our competitors.
The core service we offer at Jade Aura is Remedial Massage. Please also see our pages on Aromatherapy and Geriatric Massage. Remedial massage has long been misunderstood by the general public, with many people still believing it to simply be a deep rub. However in actual fact remedial massage is an umbrella term for a range of treatment styles with the particular goal of remediating a medical, pathological or musculoskeletal condition.
Our ancestors used aromatic substances lavishly and in all facets of their lives. Records dating back to antiquity tell of perfumed oils, scented barks and resins, of spices, and aromatic waters all used medicine, ritual, astrology and embalming. In the past it must have been a case of trial and error because early man did not have modern science to validate and classify the oils and their effect on the body.
Once you experience a home massage, it's hard to contemplate ever going back to a clinic. It seems illogical to climb into your car after a massage to undo all the good work of your therapist. Tightly gripping a steering wheel, sitting the a driving posture, can instantly restart the muscle tightening process, reversing the pain relief your therapist provided.
