Il Forno means 'the oven' in Italian and is symbolic of what this family restaurant is aiming to achieve - to be a melting pot of all things Australian and Italian. Owners Nazzareno Cugliari and his wife Kristina are proud of their Italian heritage, with both sets of parents migrating from Sicily and Calabria in the early 50s and 60s.
Terms and conditions: Our Friday, Saturday, special events and early seatings (5pm-6pm) are based on a 2 hour dining experience, after the 2 hour period we will require the table back. For all 6:30pm bookings we will require the table back for 8pm. Thank you Il Forno Staff. For same day bookings please call the restaurant for availability.
Here at Il Forno, traditional Southern Italian cuisine is at the core of our love for food. High-quality, fresh ingredients are the foundation for all our dishes. It's a Wednesday night in the quiet bayside 'burbs, but this popular little Italian local is bustling. Food good but unfortunately had 2 mixed drinks that had minimal alcohol in them.
We have these particular mixes often from lots of different places and these ones were definitely lacking the correct alcohol content.
We mentioned this to the staff member and she checked with her senior and they insisted that they had the correct amount of alcohol and we're going to charge us if we wanted extra alcohol. Very poor form and recommend not ordering mixes from this place.

What a great family friendly place for dinner!! We had 5 starters to share, 2 x kids pasta and 5 mains (all shared). Seated by 17:35 on a Friday evening to accommodate the children and we could not have been happier with the service and quality of meals. My Maltese Mother in law was even happy... A Big thank you to the staff, well done.
