Services
We are located on the ground floor of 58 Quay Street in Bundaberg, west of the railway line and directly across from Alexandra Park Zoo. View our location map here. Quay Street is currently staffed by 5 Physiotherapists to provide a complete range of services and individual care. We believe in a 'hands on' treatment approach, with patient education and exercise a priority.
At Quay Street Physiotherapy we believe that hands-on treatment, patient education and exercise are the foundations to quality care and effective rehabilitation. We seek to provide each and every patient with the most effective treatment possible during their appointment. We focus on treating the patient, not just the condition, tailoring your treatment to your individual needs.
These practices have been developed from over 5000 years of practice and treat the whole 'yin and yang' of the patient. TCM was developed and practiced before the use of autopsies and without the anatomical knowledge we now have. Western Acupuncture combines the needling element of TCM, with the knowledge of the human anatomy from research and study.
Kinesiology taping is used to relax or rehabilitate overused, damaged or underdeveloped muscles. With its characteristic elasticity it can also be used to support or limit particular movements at joints. This is a method growing in popularity among professional athletes.
You may have seen the often brightly coloured and sometimes strange shaped Keniosology Taping at events like the Olympics, or more recently on China's Li Na during the Australian Open tennis and during last year's NRL season.SpiderTech tape has the same weight, thickness and elasticity as skin allowing it to integrate with your body's sensory system naturally with less irritation.

Aquatic physiotherapy, or hydrotherapy, is physiotherapy in the water. Treatment takes place in the heated pool at Precision Healthcare Centre. Combining physiotherapy techniques with water based activity has multiple benefits for patients at any level of recovery. The natural buoyancy of the water supports your body weight and assists movement, allowing people to exercise in a safe, comfortable and low impact environment.

I am very disappointed after having an appointment made 2 weeks earlier only to have a request to move to another date. After numerous alterations to other appointments I agreed to the requested and agreed date. Surprise, surprise on the morning of the appointment I was contacted once again to move my appointment. Due to holiday arrangements I am not now available to meet the appointment. Not happy.

The ENT specialist recommended I go and see Laura at Quay Street with long term issues with balance, unsteadiness, vertigo and nausea due to 30 plus years of Ménière’s disease She worked with me and gave me very simple exercises to do at home. After just 3 or 4 visits I have had no more symptoms except the noise in affected ear unfortunately part and parcel of this cursed disease.. my last visit was before Christmas last year. So just really want to thank you Laura. Anja

Have taken my son to Quay Street Physio on two different occasions for different problems. Both times I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours, appointments ran on time and were not rushed. The Andrew and Laura were thorough in their questioning and examination and took the time not only to relieve the present pain but to explain the cause and give us strategies to prevent the injury reoccurring. We did not feel rushed at any time and both were professional and friendly to deal with.
