Registered with them late but the terminal arrived promptly before trading started. Love the app, you can see transactions and balance update instantly. Been with them since

For 2.5 years, Very VERY unreliable, always issues with the terminal not "logging in" or "unable to connect to network". Server issues happen too often to be used at high volume/turn over venues such as cafes/restaurants. We have lost a lot of sales due to system going down for unknown amount of time. These problems are traumatic and have you worrying, not knowing when the next system crash will happen.
Cash is rarely seen these days so you will lose a lot of customers who cannot pay in cash.
Customer service is as other reviews state. Long wait times and their technical support always says the

To business owner, please stay away from Tyro.
If I can rate it negative 5 stars, I will do. I’m not business owner, I’m staff at a cafe using tyro. Connection to the server of the Tyro Eftpos machine is lost almost everyweek. The most common reason in is “unable to login” “attemp to log in failed”

Someone has an email address that is similar to mine. They've signed up for Tyro 2 times with my email address. Both times I've emailed Tyro straight away but they won't stop emailing me updates about this other person's account.
I don't want their emails, I never signed up, I don't even know what this company does. They're not responding to my emails now and I'm just marking them all as spam and hoping they stop coming through.
Please stop emailing me :)
EDIT: 9 months later and they're still emailing me about this other person's business

See those negative reviews on poor service? It is very accurate, however it seems maybe there is just one incompetent person to blame - the trainer? As it seems the entire team, whomever you speak to have trouble reading notes, trouble passing information and trouble finding the information including another member who also has no clue?!
Need something rectified on your account? 5+ days, need someone to call you back, 2-3 days. Need an Eftpos/Tyro Machine replaced? 2-3 days - is your machine broken? Tough, it'll be a loss of income for your company.

Terrible experience.. applied for a merchant account for an ecommerce project. The sales person led me through an onerous application process, only to tell me at the 11th hour that they could not service me. I asked why they made me jump through all of the hoops and their response was, sorry it was an admin error at our end - vague, canned response. My experience is they have a bunch of low-knowledge sales people fronting the company.

Updated-15 august 21-service improved. Resolved my issues I had concern. Sometimes we have to consider circumstances and not throw dirt on reputable businesses.overall reliable, and I have been wit them for nearly 4 years, and I aim to stay with them long run.
Extremely bad customer service. i have spent nearly 2 yers with them, Every time i needed help, i am sitting and waiting support team for half an hour, and more.. In retail operation you don't want this to happen. Also Tyro loan is a joke, i have used couple of times and paid off before time and never missed a bit, now you need documents

Do not do business with Tyro, I have been with them for 3 years and consistently had to put up with their poor customer support and delays in changing over ownership details. The account managers do not call back even when matters are urgent and consistently you are told to wait and put on hold to find that the people you want to talk to are not in. Once I waited on the phone for 35 minutes in their customer support line and the person had obviously forgotten about my call.
AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS, GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE TO GET SOME SEMBLANCE OF CUSTOMER SUPPORT OR SERVICE. I SHOULD HAVE

Very good banking services.
Yes it took some time at the start to set up.
That is to be expected.
Alot better than the big 4 . What a joke they were. They won't even service our industry.
I couldn't believe it.
TYRO has been good to us and hope to expand more with the help they have given us over the next 6-12 months.

Garbage customer support. It took 4 months to get my terminal out to me. Currently taking 2 months to change the account ownership. Avoid.
