Servicing rural clients throughout Queensland since the late 1980s, our experienced and highly qualified team of solicitors are focused on protecting your interests and achieving your best outcome. It is all about getting the best result for you! Your matter whether straightforward or complex requires a practical solution which is tailor-made for you.

We tell you your options so that you can make informed decisions to achieve the best outcome for you. Sheehan & Co is a family-owned law firm run by Michele and Paul Sheehan who haveworked with clients in rural Queensland for more than 20 years. While we are an integral part of a specific local community, we handle the legal affairs of people from a much larger geographic area.
Services
In 1990, Paul and Michele Sheehan purchased its current business premises located at 106 Heeney Street, Chinchilla (ideally positioned between the Commonwealth Bank and National Australia Bank, opposite the Post Office). For many years, the firm regularly visited the townships of Taroom, Wandoan, Miles and Mundubbera.
Michele is a highly qualified law specialist with over 25 years of experience and knowledge in succession law (Wills & Estates) and family law. In the highly complex area of Succession Law, Michele is diligent, thorough and immensely practical in the provision of legal advice and the application of the law.
Keeping abreast of developments in the law: Our lawyers keep up-to-date with the changes in the law which impact on our clients, whether you are an investor, a small business, a primary producer, a rural enterprise or a private individual. We regularly attend seminars and conferences, regularly speak to thought leaders in our areas of specialisation and subscribe to legal publications.
Why engage Sheehan & Co. to assist you in carrying out your duties as executor/administrator of an estate?

On the death of a family member or friend, Sheehan & Co will review your family member or friend's Will and associated documents and meet with you to advise you of your duties and obligations as executor of the Will or administrator of an intestate estate (that is, the estate of a deceased person who dies without leaving a Will), relevant time limits and other considerations in relation to the administration of the estate.
We will generally investigate the circumstances surrounding the preparation of the deceased Will maker's Will, lodge a caveat (if necessary), commence or defend Supreme Court proceedings on your behalf. We can also provide negotiation and mediation services to you in an endeavour to resolve the dispute.
