Our strata lawyers have significant experience in developing strata and building management agreements in line with the new strata laws. The new complex rules introduced in 2016 include major changes to the way in which strata managers are appointed and their length of term.
Following the appointment of the selected managing agent at the first annual general meeting (AGM), strata management agreements will be limited to a term of 12 months and up to 3 years thereafter.When a strata manager is appointed by a developer before the first AGM, then that appointment ends at that meeting meaning that at the first AGM, a new agreement will need to be approved.

I contacted JS Mueller & Co in connection with a By-Law which needed to be prepared for renovation works to a strata unit. Following my initial enquiry, Nasreen came back to me quickly to provide a quotation, which I accepted and gave instructions to proceed. I received the By-Law a few days later with a helpful letter of explanation. I will use Nasreen again to register the By-Law in due course and am very happy with the service I have received.
