The Carrington was an interesting cross between a hotel and a motel. The motel unit was modern and well appointed with the pool close by. A coffee pod machine was a pleasant suprise although only 2 pods seemed a little stingy. There was no facility to cook or reheat food in your room however there was a restaurant and room service available and a supermarket and shops walking distance if you wanted something else. Its location was excellent with the lake and park right across the road, a lap of the lake made for a wonderful walk.

Lovely rooms very comfortable bed and nice clean linen throughout .
However their food is extremely average and overpriced I ordered a medium well steak it was extremely tough and cooked from the inside out which gives me the impression that it has been microwaved before searing on the pan what made things harder is that they provided us with a butter knife to cut the steak. We were unable to contact front reception considering there was no one there the kilpatrick's we ordered some of them had no boystres in them and the rest of them had no broth my partner also had a very cold dinner .

Had a great overnight stay at the Carrington. The room was great, and the bed was incredibly comfy. Loved how there was so much bathroom counter space.
I'd like to thank Daniela and Mary at Reception for assisting us throughout our stay. To the Chef/s and kitchen staff, and Ian and Linda at the Carrington Restaurant, thank you for 2 beautiful meals. They were delicious and we were completely spoilt. Oh and the view of the lake while dining was everything.

The place is lacking.
The grounds and pool were severely neglected. The room was a bit outdated and could do with some fresh tasteful decor.
All of these things could be overlooked if the staff were welcoming and accommodating.
However I’m sorry to say they were not.
I can’t recall the name of the woman who was behind the reception she was an older lady with blonde hair and glasses and was truly abhorrent.
Was sighing and eye rolling when I was asking for some information on the town.
She told me off for “my feet making too much noise” as I mounted the stairs?? Was a bizarre and overpriced

Magnificent experience
Staff are very helpful and nothing is too much for them.
Room was extremely clean and modern.
Blaze (reception) deserves 5/5 stars as her demeanour and her helpful ways made the stay enjoyable.
Must eat at the restaurant, food is if exceptional quality and service is awesome.
Definitely a must stay place when visiting Shepparton.
