Mary Sutherland is the Principal Physiotherapist at Armidale Physio Plus. Mary is a fully qualified physio with long experience in a broad number of techniques. She is also a Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and Bones for Life Practitioner and Trainer. Her approach is to teach clients more efficient postural & movement patterns, to allow easy, more painfree movement.
Armidale Physio Plus occiasionally offers Clinical Pilates classes. Clinical Pilates integrates clinical research and practice with the "Pilates method", a system of exercises that stretch and strengthen the stabilising muscles of the shoulders, spine and pelvis. I've taken yoga classes in Thunder Bay for over 20 years and have attended a variety of classes at The Body Mind Centre. They have lots of yoga styles, including active flow styles or slower yin and restorative classes. I prefer hot yoga, but they have many regular temperature classes, as well as Pilates, reformer, meditation and other group fitness classes. They have bodyworkers who practice registered massage and other modalities. There is a lot of value in the services they provide.
