Spent a weekend there unexpectedly. Had booked at the Susquehanna B&B and they moved us to the Acorn without even noticing us. Quote a nice surprise though. They are located close to the biking trails and in the middle of town. Sleepy village but pretty homes and some nice dinning as well.
Chris and Bonney were pleasant hosts and the accomodations were 1st class.
Chris and Bonney could do enough for us and we're enjoyable to be around. Made the stay extra special.

We just returned from a lovely weekend at the Ascot B&B, a jewel in the middle of historic Marietta. You really can't go wrong here. It's a stately home with excellent hosts, Chris and Bonnie. It's a place where you are encouraged to use the common spaces as you would your home. You determine breakfast time and what you want. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful such that lunch was not necessary both days. The rooms are unique and decorated in the tone of the house. The location is perfect. The Northwest River Trail is steps away - you can store your bikes in the basement of the B&B. There are

Can't say enough good things about the Ascot House or Bonnie and Chris, who are the fantastic hosts. It was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast, and now I don't think we'll ever want to stay at a hotel again (and we certainly won't if we're in the Lancaster area).
The place was lovely. It's a carefully decorated, very clean historical home. Bonnie and Chris were phenomenal hosts and seem like very genuinely kind people. We were accidentally overbooked to stay somewhere else, and Chris literally dropped what he was doing to accommodate us and make us feel like we were at home within minutes

We just returned from 2 nights at Ascot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely and clean. Rooms are large and comfortable. The hosts, Bonny and Chris, are an absolute delight. We loved hanging out with them in the kitchen, eating breakfast made to order, and having great conversation! We felt like we were visiting our favorite relatives))))
Even though we gave it 5 stars, I must mention couple of cons. 1. The carpet in the bathroom. I don't like carpets anywhere, let alone in the bathroom. For various reasons it's unsanitary, allot easier to clean tile and hardwood floor, than carpet

If you want to experience all the charm, elegance, and nostalgia of 19th century Lancaster PA first-hand, you'll do no better than a stay at Ascot House.
My wife and I stayed two nights here while attending a wedding in a nearby town. We first fell in love with the town itself. Market Street, it's main street, is like a museum of 19th century architecture. You'll see it all there, from log cabins to Federal style, Duch Colonial, etc.
But staying at Ascot House makes the experience even better. Owner Wendy has done an incredible job to restore this c. 1812 townhouse while subtly including modern
