Should have known better but the greywater drain was blocked for over two weeks and there was no time to be taken off from work. Work always gets in the way of life. :)
So the Saturday morning I have called Service Today and in case you are wondering, this was the good part of the story.
In a few hours a technician showed up. As it later turned out, he has brought some of this equipment but left his social skills behind. No matter, I thought. He is not here for amusing conversations.
But then he proceed by using the wrong equipment, the one I've said will not do the job and also attacking

Refused to even ballpark a price over the phone, and charged $49 just for their insisted 5 minute callout to make a quote. And the quote itself was more than $630 just to get a basic outside tap installed right next to the existing plumbing. Probably the easiest possible job they could be doing besides changing a washer!

Sought quote for the capping of a copper gas pipe. I normally do my own plumbing, but won't touch gas - if it was a water pipe I estimate a maxium of 10 minutes work.
Quote was $350.00.
I laughed and said no, but still had to pay the initial callout fee.
To add insult to injury, the tradie (although polite and punctual) spent most of the time trying to sell me a VIP membership to Service Today.
Not impressed with Service Today, and will not be using them again.
