Services
Bangkok Thai is a family run restaurant that has become the local's choice for the best Thai food in Tamworth. It was in 1998, that a young Thai chef journeyed from Sydney to bring Thai food to a town better known for country music than Asian cuisine. That young adventurous chef was Taro Tang, who encouraged other family members to follow and opened the doors of Bangkok Thai - with tasty Thai food and warm Thai hospitality.
Easy parking is essential for a good night out or when collecting a take-away meal for home. Bangkok Thai has free convenient parking right at the door. Our parking is open all night and can accommodate small sedans, tour buses or trucks of any size. Located in North Tamworth at Northgate Shopping Plaza on the corner of Marius and Peel Streets - just off the Oxley / New England highway.

This is the second time I have been to this restaurant. I thought it may had just had a busy night and gave them a chance. But I can not recommend this restaurant at all. Everything taste the same, it's all batted and it's like playing hide and seek, where is the fillings?
The maitre d' is rushing around but is not going anywhere. One the Waitresses had a runny nose and wiped her nose with her hands and continued to serve a table their dinner with a little extra (gastro as a side dish) yummy, yeah...nah

Coming from out of town my choices were limited. They have a nice menu with lots of options for meat and non meat eaters. Although the chicken on the fried rice was pretty horrible. It had a texture like over cooked fish. It felt very odd. The vegetable stir fry I had was quite nice although I didn't enjoy the fried bean curd which was cooked well but it's not my favourite.

Great portions, solid food, beautiful flavours, friendly staff - what's not to like? Kept me fed for the few days I was in Tamworth.
