Mother and daughter Shirley Struk and Deanne Bond could be considered Sydney's accidental restaurateurs. However, persistence, patience and pragmatism have seen this hard-working duo turn a derelict beachfront building into an award-winning eatery, popular with tourists and locals alike. It was originally known as Pavilion Caf - after undertaking an extensive renovation in 2005 it re-opened as Pavilion Beachfront, a fully licensed restaurant and kiosk, unique with its wonderful uninterrupted scenic beach views.

With glass bifold doors opening out to an uninterrupted ocean view, coupled with multiple options of mouth-watering dishes and bespoke cocktails -Pavilion Beachfront is the perfect destination for a seaside wedding ceremony, reception, private or corporate event. Poor customer service!! No option if you have no mobile to eat there which discriminates against people (writing this on a computer) when asking if O could ask a question the reply I got in a rude manner was "I'm not arguing" to which I replied I only have a question. When asking my question I got no eye contact and wouldn't give me the time of day and simply said "you can't come in" maybe look at alternatives for those who aren't fortunate to have a smart phone or unable to use one!!!

I've been waiting to come here for the position, but it was either too loud or something. Superlative coffee. The barista knows his stuff. Cappuccino frothy beginning to end. Very few people know how to do that.
Food is also terrific. The affogato is awesome. Love the hospitality of the staff who make me feel very welcome. Now that I'm local, I'll be here more often. :)

We recently had our wedding ceremony (it was raining cats and dogs) and reception here. The food was just delicious with generous helpings. Jason and the team were so attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our day was special.
We have also enjoyed Sunday brunch here on a beautiful sunny day when the doors were all opened so you could the sweeping views of Maroubra beach. We will be back :-)

Fantastic location, right on the beach front. Light filled cafe with excellent views and outstanding food.
I’ve attached a few photos of some of the dishes to give you an idea of the type of food available and how it is presented.
The wait staff are very hospitable and able to interpret your order quickly and easily.
There are some good beverage options here also.
