Shizuku Ramen
Shizuku is not your average Japanese restaurant. That's partly because we serve the best ramen in Melbourne, and partly because our menu has a creative flair. Unlike other Japanese venues we also offer a serious selection of craft beer. And while we could go on about how ramen and beer is the perfect pair, there's only one way to discover it for yourself.

Flavour comes first, whether we're talking about our traditional ramen stock that takes a whole day to make or the unique brews we import from all over Asia. Not sure which beer, sake or umeshu matches your food? The Shizuku kitchen team serves innovative dishes with a traditional touch.

Worst place ever! Definitely avoid!
Most disappointing meal I've ever ordered through uber eats! This place is a rip off and dodgy!! Food quality and taste is just a joke..
Arrived cold.
No one answers the phone..
Absolutely avoid this place and save your money!! Not worth it!! Terrible.. I would give them zero stars if it were possible.
This place needs to be shut-down!!

Similar experience to all the poor ones below..
NOT worth the money at all.
No prior warning that cooking is required for a $31 dish with minimal meat.
Cauliflower soggy.
Never picked up phone.
Was uuuuber late.
Also very suss... originally ordered from a restaurant by the name of shizuku. Order was cancelled. Found another restaurant "Oh!Ramen" and placed my order. Almost instantly the order was on its way. Something seemed suss. No traces of anywhere online with the same name, but everytime I searched it, shizuku was the search result. Turns out both restaurants have the same address on

Look the food is decent. When I lived nearby I ate in store a few times and the experience was good. But DON’T bother with this business on Uber Eats. They accept your order only to randomly cancel it more often than they actually deliver. They just cancelled our order with no reason five minutes ago, I went back on Uber to look for a other ramen place and they’re still sitting there actively taking orders with a nice tempting delivery time boasting 20 minutes quicker than anywhere else. What gives? And yes the noodles arrive raw. EDIT: Went back to Uber again to look for another place and

I read the reviews before trying their food and many of the unsatisfied comments couldn't be more wrong. I had as takeaway, so I sat for 5 minutes while sipping some good beer, and by the time I was home, of course the food was warm (15 minutes drive). I also noticed a lot of orders sitting there, waiting for delivery drivers. So most likely the delivery apps are the ones to blame for your food being cold when it arrives at your place, not the restaurant staff neither the drivers who are all underpaid. Don't order delivery food and expect the same quality as if it was straight from the kitchen

I ordered through this place via uber eats. On there they trade as "Soko Laksa Ramen". The supposed Wagyu truffle Ramen was pretty much canned beef in a soup, with some noodles on the side, the takoyaki was doughy and on top of it all the portion sizes were tiny. We paid around $80 for barely enough to cover two people. My heavily pregnant wife was less than stoked to say the least...
The other reviews here are spot on, the delivery came about half an hour late and the restaurant wouldn't answer the phone despite us calling them numerous times. The so called reviews for "Soko Laksa Ramen" on uber

I understand the bad reviews if you are unaware that the noodles need to be soaked in boiling water/cooked. They do provide instructions. This is done to improve the meal, and make it restaurant, not takeaway quality. Noodles are much better freshly cooked, with the soup added immediately on top. Yes, you may need to also quickly reheat the soup. This is more a gourmet dine-at-home restaurant experience, than take away. Which is what Shizuku Ramen is, and worth the money. Apart from that, I don't understand the bad reviews, as we live nearby and eat Ramen a lot, and this is one of the best in Melbourne

I havent been this disappointed since Batman v Superman.
To begin with they wouldn't answer the phone,  which should've been enough of a red flag to me.  For anyone walking past you can't just seeing in,  you have to order and pay via UberEats or their convoluted system.
My girlfriend and I arrived early as our UberEats order was 'ready' waited another 5 minutes for our to be ready, Okay no biggey.
After walking the 400m back to our place we realised that the noodles were RAW and we'd have to cook them ourselves. Our already barely hot ramen was warm by the time we'd boiled water and cooked

Do NOT order from these people. My order arrived late, making me worry that my food would be cold. As I open the food, I notice that the noodles aren’t even cooked?! The cheesecake discs cost $10 on top. $50 for this joke of a meal. That’s the last time I order without checking reviews first.

Amazing delivery experience!
First of all, they have a good selection of food and alcohol drinks.⭐ Got a nicely set up website too!⭐
Secondly, laksa ramen!! Laksa broth feat. Ramen contents.⭐ Say waaaaaat?!!! It was brilliant!!
Thirdly, the food arrived 18 minutes EARLY!!⭐
Finally, and this part annoyed me for about 30 seconds at first, but later proved to be one of the great things of the whole experience! The food came in like a food kit and I had fun assembling it!⭐
There you go, a hard earned 5 star restaurant!

I'm a huge fan of ramen and I would say that this is my favourite ramen place in Melbourne; however, I don't understand the recent name change to 'Veganism'. It seems a bit cliché and could possibly deter customers as the name suggests the menu is full of the unappetising 'mock meat' made of processed tofu. Not sure who thought that was a great marketing move...

Extremely interesting menu of both Ramen and Beer. Quality of Noodles leaves alittle to desire but the broth was delicious. Bit pricey but I did have a beer I doubt I could get anywhere else

Amazing ramen!! Will definitely be my first choice for ramen on future meal plans. BYO wine is a big win as well (beside the fact I had to buy a corkscrew from a bottle-o because they didn't have one)

Updated review after eating there a second time. I was a bit overzealous the first time whilst in good company and enjoying a couple beers.

This time I came in for lunch and was greeted with the same fast service. I tried their signature tonkatsu shio ramen, which was as described as a milky broth with a decent amount of toppings. However the broth could have had a bit more pork taste, not sure how long it is cooked to really draw out the flavour.

I was a bit disappointed when enquiring about condiments commonly found on every table in a ramen shop, there was none (chilli oil, pepper, sesame

Dropped in very late on a Sunday night. We we're seated immediately. Heaps of variety on the menu with some great quality affordable starters and about 15 ramen varieties too. We were tended to as soon very promptly and efficiently.

The Tako Wasabi (octopus sashimi) was very good and the portion more generous than most I have seen. The Tuna Tartare was perfectly seasoned with soy and sesame oil.

The sticky pork belly ramen was large and quite good. The only draw back was we paid $4 extra for mixed veg in the soups which we were convinced we didn't get until checking whilst paying the

I was quite excited to dine here as a couple of friends had recommended this place. First impressions were that although it is quite a small restaurant, has nice simple décor and a little more funky than some of the other restaurants in the vicinity.

I arrived a fair bit earlier than the rest of the group I was meeting, and found that the staff were fairly attentive and made me feel welcome.

The drinks list is quite comprehensive, with an impressive selection of beers, ciders, sake etc. and some interesting non-alcoholic beverages such as lychee soda.

We started with three different types

I ordered delivery from this restaurant on a recent trip to Melbourne. I paid with a credit card and was charged over $90. After an hour my food had not arrived and when I tried calling the restaurant I kept being put off. After two hours, the restaurant finally realized that the delivery driver had delivered the food to the WRONG PERSON. I made several attempts to correct this but the food was never brought nor was my money refunded. The owner told me on multiple occasions that his driver was on his way to bring me back my refund, but somehow he never showed up. The owner happily accepted the

Shizuku makes a real tasty bowl of tonkatsu ramen. It's thick, rich, and porky. Their ramen noodles are nice and springy.

First time we came here, we stood awkwardly for about 20 minutes before we decided to leave, as no one had food on their table and nothing seemed to be coming out of the sterile looking kitchen. No acknowledgment from the staff on how much longer we would have to wait.

Second time we came in to an almost-empty restaurant and were still shafted to the window bar seats. Somehow every table was reserved, fair enough. Our ramen was decent but not memorable. I found the noodles to taste processed and not fresh. The soup was not as hot as I'd like, and blander than expected. I thought my Spicy

Wahoo!!! this place is great. We went there with 4 work colleagues and we had 6 entrees as tasting dishes for lunch. By the end of the 5th one we were full and had to force the last course down.

If you loved Nobu - you will love this even more.....its similar devine food at a fraction of the price. If this restaurant was in Melbourne City - it would have a six month waiting list!

Fantastically presented dishes, prepared with care and at an astonishing reasonable price!

Shizuku is a definite step up from most the restaurants along Victoria Street. There's no greasy laminate table tops, no telly blaring in the corner, no sad fishtank to be seen. Instead, the fitout features sleek wood panelling, cool pendant lights and what appears to be a custom wooden speaker - tres chic!
They offer a good range of Japanese beers and soft drinks, as well as an extensive list of beers and ciders etc from around the world - be warned though, these are serious beers and can be pricey!
Shizuku offers an excellent value lunch special, which is highly recommended.
