Preventive Dentistry has been serving Canberra since 1963, when it was established by Dr Noel Egan whose preventive approach to dental care was ahead of its time. He was the first dentist in the ACT to employ a dental hygienist, and was instrumental in the recognition and registration of Dental Hygiene as a profession.
Many dental problems that necessitate serious treatment are largely preventable if caught soon enough, and the best way to avoid the discomfort and cost of more extensive procedures is by treating problems early or preventing them entirely. That's why regular examination and hygiene treatments are integral aspects of Preventive Dentistry, and we recommend most people attend these preventive appointments 6 monthly.

We were one of the first general dental practices in Canberra to gain Dental Practice Accreditation by meeting the stringent requirements of the internationally recognised National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards (NSQHS Standards).
Preventive Dentistry is situated on Level 1 of the Habitat building at the corner of Mort and Elouera Streets in Braddon, Canberra. Entrance to the building is on the Elouera Street side, between Bentspoke and Blackfire restaurant. Ample car parking is available across the road in the pay parking bays on Mort Street.

Preventative Dentistry have done a brillaint job at maintaing my teeth health. Prior to going to them, every year I was having significant costly dental work done, however at their encouragement to improve my dental hygene and care, the dental decay has pretty much stopped. I get regular checks and cleans and of course some older fillings fail from time to time, but the cost has significantly reduced and I am very much happier with my teeth and gum health. Thanks to Scott and the crew.

Can not rate Dr Scott Park at Preventive Dentistry highly enough! I recently had my first visit to him after avoiding the dentist for 10+ years due to extreme anxiety around dental and medical procedures. Dr Scott Park and his team were extremely caring and supportive throughout the entire process and made my experience fantastic despite myself being very anxious!

Dr. Scott Park at Preventive Dentistry is simply the best dentist I have ever experienced throughout Korea, the USA, and Australia. He is a cutting-edge expert in his field and a much sought-after presenter in professional conferences. It's been almost 2 months since Dr. Ann Duong fixed so many cavities in my teeth. My teeth are in a fantastic condition now - I can brag about it for the first time. I am very thankful there are such great dentists in Canberra.
My previous experiences with other dentists weren't the best, the problem would go away temporarily but then reappear in a couple of months. This made me lose trust with dentists and caused my teeth to deteriorate, to the point where I lost 2 of my molars.
Thanks to Dr. Ann & Preventive Dentistry I regained my trust in dentists. I even made a promise to myself to check

I highly recommend Dr Scott Park and all the team at Preventive Dentistry. I have recently moved to Canberra and was looking for a dentist as I had neglected my teeth over previous years. I was so lucky to find a fantastic dentist that was able to make me feel at ease and explain everything in simple terms. During the procedures I had virtually no pain and he was able to rescue my teeth! So I'm extremely grateful that I didn't need any extractions. Thanks for the great service!

I had a great experience having my wisdom tooth extracted at Preventive Dentistry. Dr Scott and his team have done an amazing job. The service is professional, clean and friendly. Dr Scott is experienced, caring and has a great sense of humor which helped me overcome my fear of the tooth extraction. I can't recommend Dr Scott Park enough! When I came in with an extreme fear of dentists, and an impacted wisdom tooth so painful I hadn't slept for days, Scott was extremely gentle and put me at ease right away. He explained every step of the procedure and ensured I was completely comfortable before proceeding. On top of his skill, he was cheerful and friendly, and I was so grateful to have the painful tooth removed on the same day. This was the best dental experience I've ever had and I will definitely be back for the rest of my wisdom teeth and other much needed dental work, now I know that it

Dr Scott Park and his team are amazing!
I first went to Preventive dentistry because of a severe decayed teeth where i thought my teeth would be extracted but he has saved it! He is a friendly, calm and also perfectionist at treating my dental problem. The best dentist that i ever been to!
The receptionist staff are also very nice and friendly.
