Weddings cost more than money: a lot of emotion, a lot of exertion, a lot of planning and dreaming and a lot of commitment all go into making a memorable day. The role of the photographer is (at least) three-fold. For one - this special day in the lives of the families concerned must be documented, so that in the future, great-grandchildren can see the events that led to their being.
The colour and excitement of sport occurs at all levels - whether it's a local game or an international championship. It's important to capture the passion in the faces of the players; the euphoria of winning against the devastation of losing. Individual or team sports both have that utter commitment to victory at all costs - and sports photography must capture that spirit.
