When a relationship breaks down who you choose to guide you through the legal process and stand up for you can have a significant impact on your future relationship with your children and your finances. Two common and often problematic questions are who gets what in the property division and what time the children will spend with each of the parents. Depending on how problematic and how easy or how hard it is to find common ground with your ex-partner, the answer to that question will inform your decision to choose a family lawyer to assist you.
In matters involving children, prior to going to court for orders in relation to the children, in most cases a certificate is required to be issued pursuant to section 60 I Family Law Act from an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. In matters involving property, we work with our clients to try and encourage a settlement being reached without the need of going to Court.
The presumption of innocence is arguably the most important and fundamental piece of architecture supporting the fairness of our criminal justice system. Wow! Ben and his team are excellent. Family Law is not only emotional for the families involved by Bens team also carry that weight on their shoulders too. There is never a good outcome when you have to involve lawyers, but without a doubt, Ben and his team (notably Polina, Shaun, Anita and Sandra) have proven themselves incredible at what they do. They have been beyond understanding of a very difficult situation (as every child custody case is), but have been unbelievably empathic as well.
