As a mortgage broker for 10 years I have dealt with many legal/conveyancing firms. Nine times out of ten, a property transaction is smooth sailing, but its that one time, the time when it all goes wrong when you want a good legal advocate on your side.
There are very few firms who I call good and will recommend to my clients: these are the firms that protect their clients interests, who are pro-active rather than reactive, who deal with property transactions all the time (most solicitors have it as an add on service only) and who update clients regularly.Conveyancing and Property Lawyers fit this bill.

Eligible first home buyers may receive a transfer duty (formerly stamp duty) exemption or concession. The amount you can save depends on your property purchase price. If purchasing a new property then first home buyers may be eligible for the first home new home benefit of $10,000. We can assist you by explaining the criteia for these benefits and if applicable assist you apply for these benefits.
Obtain written loan pre-approval, and preferably written unconditional loan approval (which usually occurs after any lender that you re using has carried out a valuation of the property). Clarify and be certain before exchange of contracts whether you are eligible for any government or other assistance including any grant or transfer/stamp duty exemption/concession.
Our conveyancing solicitors will prepare the contract for sale of land. A real estate agent is not legally allowed to show a property for sale without a contract for sale of land. Typically, if you are selling a house, the purchaser will obtain a pest and building inspection and may obtain other inspections.
We can help you obtain First Home Buyers benefits if you are an eligible First Home buyer. When you contact us we can help you with more up to date information as the government shcemes change from time to time. You may be eligible for the Home Builder Bonus scheme of $25,000 if you are buying land and building a brand new home on it or if you are substantailly renovating your property, if you meet all the criteria.

Abigail has been fantastic throughout the process. She is always friendly, professional and responds quickly to queries or requests to get in touch. At each stage Abigail completed the actions needed very quickly and managed the final stage incredibly well, keeping us updated throughout. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her (and have in fact already done so)

Buying a flat with Convey Law as my conveyancer was one of the most stressful things I’ve ever been through. They are incompetent to the point that I had to effectively manage the transaction for them for us to get anywhere. The week we were meant to exchange my case officer disappeared on leave for a week without telling me. They also do not understand the basics of their own job; at one point I had to explain to them how a Help To Buy ISA works. Please take your business elsewhere.

Farcical. Acting on behalf of our purchasers and our solicitors have been banging head against a brick wall trying to make progress. Lowlights include:
- Being sent requested information and then advising it is still required, a month after originally receiving it
- 3 individual case workers advising that they will review and come back, with no material progress made
- Ignoring emails and phone calls
- Sitting on queries for weeks on end, despite being regularly chased
Solely posting this review in the desperation that someone at Convey will see it and push this through.

AVOID!!! Just don't bother wasting your time. Our solicitor Rishi was completely lacklustre, communication was non-existent and progress was slow. We signed up in mid-November and during our time with Convey Law, we did receive back a single direct email, phone call or voicemail - we had minimal updates on our online portal, the sellers solicitor was only chased once in a whole month and we received nothing but automated emails when we tried to communicate. I'm sure some conveyancers at Convey Law are competent but why take the risk when you can just go somewhere else? Do not make the same mistake

Can not recommend Convey law enough, we was lucky to have Chelsea Carey looking after us and she went above and beyond. Are sale was held up and dragged on for months due to are buyers solicitor being completely incompetent and extremely unprofessional and quite frankly rude, Chelsea had to chase and chase them for simple answers and was ignored for days by them but she didn’t give in and remained extremely professional and we got there in the end. I truly believe that had I not used convey law and had the help of Chelsea this sale wouldn’t of been completed. Amazing service from a highly professional

Absolutely fantastic service from Abbie Garland from start to finish. Was in constant contact with myself and my girlfriend regarding our first time buy and explained everything extremely well. From viewing the property we wanted to the day of completion took just two months as she was constantly on the case to the sellers solicitors and chasing everything up. Absolute credit to Convey Law and will definitely be using them again. Five star service. Thank you.
