At Shire Homes we believe that energy efficiency should be a key consideration when building any home. Whilst many local councils have energy efficiency requirements for any new home, we work closely with our customers to ensure that they gain the greatest possible energy efficiency rating when building their dream home.
This day was going to be a little different from the normal days in the office. Not ever day does a couple in their 80's walk into our office in Balhannah asking if we can build them a new home. Their first ever new home. During our initial consultation it was established that the client wanted a large single level home with three bedrooms with a separate study/office.

Building with Shire Homes 2yrs ago was a total nightmare. Unprofessional & unresponsive are two words I could use to describe this business, with some of the sub contractors being downright rude. During construction, the building supervisor was sacked for poor performance, the plumber’s work was sub standard & one would think that he couldn’t possibility have been qualified. The electrician was the rudest person I have ever met & the frame builder was not far behind him in personality. The painter was hopeless & as we are still touching up parts that he missed & we even had to redo parts internally
