Harry was born in Melbourne in 1910 and as a young man worked for Lauritz Hansen and Otto Yuncken - Hansen Yuncken. In 1939 Harry relocated his young family to Adelaide to manage the construction of the Bank of New South Wales building on the corner of North Terrace and King William streets, now the location of the iconic 2KW rooftop bar and restaurant.

Harry then laid down solid foundations, establishing the Hansen Yuncken business in the South Australian market for the next 20 years and made Adelaide home. In 1961 Harry established H.F. Sarah & Sons, a lifelong ambition to build for himself (now Sarah Constructions). The first contract awarded was to build Thomas Hardy & Sons a new Tintara House Office Building and Champagne Cellars at Mile End.

Sarah Constructions, as part of the TESA Consortium, was engaged by the South Australian Department for Education to deliver two new "birth to year 12" (B-12) schools in the Angle Vale and Aldinga regions of outer metropolitan Adelaide. The $240M SA Schools Public Private Partnership (PPP) is a complex project involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
We are different. Unlike our competitors, Sarah's goals are not limited to completing a commercial transaction. We take clients on an informed journey throughout the building process, and exceed expectations when arriving at project completion. We care about our work and relationships. The team at Sarah strives to ensure that clients not only love the completed project, but also the journey they take to get there.

What can be said about Sarah Constructions? Let's firstly say that Sarah Constructions DO NOT 'build good relationships' contrary to their slogan. Sarah Constructions like to put the pressure back on sub-contractors by setting unrealistic completion dates due to their own short-comings, poor management and general incompetence. Sarah Constructions seem to win a lot of their work from being aggressive in the market place by undercutting other builders. To combat this, Sarah Constructions like to screw sub-contractors and DO NOT like to pay their bills. Sarah Constructions also like to make up their
