Services
Built in the 1950s the Kootingal Hotel has been well established as the local watering hole for many of our locals. Being family owned by husband and wife team Andrew and Rowena Yeo together with their four children, the community spirit is in full force. After growing up in the region, Andrew knew that country pubs were in his blood and moved to Kootingal in 2007.
Our head chef, Josh has been in the game 16 years, and working with Kootingal Hotel for 5. His wealth of knowledge in modern dining experiences has lead to a wide and varied pub menu. Living local with his young family, Josh knows how to use the local produce for an amazing taste sensation.
The Kootingal Hotel's casual indoor and alfresco dining in the Beer Garden provides a beautiful backdrop to bring your family and friends for a dining experience you won't soon forget. We also offer semi-private function spaces inside or out for hire, making it the ideal venue to host your next event or party!

Went to go here for lunch today. As we walked through the bistro/dining area there was a strong smell of rotten milk. Very off putting. We decided to try sit outside, most of the tables and chairs were wet. The high chairs had pools of water in them and there were mosquitoes everywhere. Not to mention when we asked for a high chair to be dried they threw us a towel.. Every other pub I’ve been to have cleaned or dried them for us. Attempted to sit inside but the smell was so off putting we left.

I picked this place because of the good reviews. I was travelling around the Tamworth area for 3 days and thought staying a few K's out of town would be okay. The good reviews are justified. The food is very nice and the room was simple and clean, which is all that I need...but the thing that really left an impression on me is that every staff member I saw or spoke to on the two nights I was there were genuinely friendly and helpful and in a good mood...to me...to the other patrons (locals) and to each other. They all just seemed to really like being there and doing what they do. Stay here!
