Direct Kitchens began in 1985 as a family business, manufacturing and providing Award Winning Custom Made Kitchens and Cabinetry to Boutique Builders across Melbourne. At the time, through our one Kitchen Showroom, we began to see a need for Custom Kitchen Design and High Quality Kitchen Cabinetry in the Kitchen Renovation market, and started to develop a unique system to cater for customers in existing homes.
Although we still provide Kitchens and Cabinetry to Boutique and Owner-Builders, the Kitchen Renovation market has become our main focus these days. Our unique system has been fine tuned over the years and we can offer our customers a consistently high level of service throughout every step of their Kitchen Renovation process.

It's 12 months since we went to Direct to talk about replacing our very outdated "country" style kitchen. We had several false starts due to covid restrictions last year, and the kitchen was finally completed in early December. The team were very good, and responsive when we raised questions, concerns, etc. Overall, we are very happy with the end result, which is so much lighter, brighter,and functional than before. A great result!

My boyfriend and I had the worst experience at Direct Kitchen Moonee Ponds on Friday. The receptionist was condescending and had a terrible attitude. She told us to “take a look at the place and come back to me if you have any questions” when we first walked in without offering any assistance. When we asked about different materials and prices, instead of doing her job and answering our questions, she asked “do you have enough budget?”. My boyfriend and I look young but we are well prepared for the renovation cost. We were recommended by friends to go to Direct Kitchen and didn’t expect

We have recently completed a kitchen renovation by Direct Kitchens. The designer, Julia, was highly experienced & challenged our thinking about what we could achieve. We are delighted with the end product! All the tradies were excellent, especially David, who often helped us out with any queries we had. The timeline for implementation happened exactly as stated in the contract. We would highly recommend Direct Kitchens if you are thinking of getting a new kitchen.

We had recently our kitchen renovated by Direct Kitchens. We wanted for our kitchen to be much larger and match exactly existing kitchen style.. We are very happy witch the final result and we would recommend Direct Kitchens for any kitchen renovation job. It was a pleasure to see our kitchen renovation to full fill our renovation goals. Our experience with Direct Kitchens was very pleasing. We had our kitchen, laundry and powder room renovated with them.
The designer was experienced and attentive. She doubled our storage space!
The quality of the kitchen is brilliant.
The caesarstone is also of a high quality.
The installation is to a high standard.
All the trades involved were very professional.
We'll be using Direct Kitchens again to renovate our main bathroom.

We decided to go with direct kitchens after the recommendation of one of My family members, and we are completely thrilled with the result. Julia our designer was great! Spent heaps of time with us discussing ideas. The quality is high class. It’s not cheap but we were happy to outlay the money for something that will last for years. The tradies were all great and punctual. David went beyond what he needed to. All in all a very smooth operation. Thank you direct kitchens.
