Services
Because pets age so rapidly, major health changes can occur in a short amount of time. The risk of cancer, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, heart disease and other serious conditions all increase with age. Today's pets are living longer than ever, chances are that many may experience a potentially serious illness during their lifetime.
The immunity from puppy vaccination weakens over time and your pet can again become susceptible to disease. Annual health checks and booster vaccinations, as required, will provide the best protection for the life of your pet. At Lindisfarne Veterinary Clinic, we are proud to have been amongst the first veterinary clinics in Hobart to offer triennial vaccinations for the core diseases Parvovirus, Distemper and Hepatitis.
Vaccination has revolutionised control of infectious disease in our pets. It is essential that all pets are adequately vaccinated to help protect the pet population as a whole. Responsible pet care requires kittens to be given their initial course of vaccinations, but this cannot protect them for the rest of their lives.
There are two broad categories of worms that may affect our pet dogs and cats, intestinal worms and heartworms. Worming is one of the first health care issues pet owners need to address as pups and kittens are the most susceptible. As their name suggests, intestinal worms are parasites that live inside your pet's intestines.
Dentistry is a rapidly growing area of veterinary science. We have seen a greater awareness over the last 25 years of its importance to the overall health of the animals we treat. Just like humans, pets' teeth need looking after too! The health of their teeth and gum's has a significant impact on their overall quality of life.

The staff are wonderful. They also light a candle when someone is saying farewell to their beloved pets. Very respectful.

I have visited my parents 2 years in a row from Victoria with my dogs and both years have ended up at Lindisfarne Vet. They have been lovely and reassuring difficult and stressful situations. Would gladly use them as my regular vet if I lived there

Very poor experience at this veterinary clinic. Booked our Labrador in for hip/elbow screening and the staff didn't give us the correct information prior to attending (as a result we had to scramble on the day to get the correct documents to them), the staff were rude and unhelpful throughout the day, they incorrectly submitted one test delaying those results by a month, and failed to submit the second test until we inquired about the results. 3 months on and the test results are still not received; necessitating regular contact to follow them up. The clinic might be good for routine work, but

Lindisfarne vet clinic have so lovingly looked after all our family's furry friends(candy, Lucifer and mooch). They're always so respectable and caring. We always feel like they look after our pets with the same love and care as if they were their own. We recently said goodbye to moochy and they really were so wonderful through the whole process. From making sure both mooch was comfortable and happy and that we felt supported and comforted too. They even sent us a beautiful card the following few days.
I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else and am so grateful for their wonderful service over
