Snapfreeze came from humble beginnings in the sunroom of our home in Wallsend more than 20 years ago. Michael Snape (owner) had completed his trade in refrigeration & air conditioning at BHP and went on to become a sales rep for a multi-national gas company. Travelling around the country he showed the refrigeration & air conditioning trade how to retrofit equipment and use new gases.
A young family made it harder to leave every month so eventually he left his job and established Snapfreeze. Working 7 days a week and on call 24/7 he did everything from car and truck air conditioning to home and business air conditioning and the humble domestic fridge. Snapfreeze took on our first apprentice Paul Picton 2 years after being in business and he's still with us today!

Although polite, disappointing customer experience. Just called to request a quote and was told by Michelle they were busy till after Christmas. She didn't even offer a future date or the opportunity to call again next year, just that they couldn't help me. Wonder if I sounded more Australian they could have offered a future date. Really disappointing to be turned away. Good riddance anyway. Would consider a business that doesn't turn customers away.

The team were fantastic. So helpful, accommodating and informative. They talked me through the whole process, included me in all decisions, worked so hard on my hardwood timber roof. Bigger job than expected and they took it in their stride. I would recommend over and over. Great value.
