Her specialised hospital training in Oncology Massage is the highest internationally recognised training available and as a result of this training, her vast experience and ongoing concern for your dignity and comfort, she will review your medical history with you, then take all the following factors into account before creating your unique treatment plan.
Oncology Massage is a gentle, nurturing and non-invasive treatment that takes into consideration all the changes that occur to your body, physically and emotionally, once a diagnosis of cancer and treatment occurs. The massage is modified to make it safe during all parts of the cancer journey, whether you have just been diagnosed, are undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy, or are in palliation or survivorship.
Scars can form for many reasons. Whether it be from surgery, accident, injury, or burns, they can have a debilitating effect on the body. As the fascial matrix (inner connective tissue that spans the entire human body) is one complete connective element, any kink or pull can affect the whole system.
Lymphatic Drainage is an extremely light treatment used to move lymph fluid. It reduces swelling which can build up in limbs post surgery, or following chemotherapy, or radiation therapy, due to the lymphatic system being compromised. It is an extremely relaxing treatment and does not work any muscle.
