What can we say!! This was truly a gorgeous place to spend a weekend getaway. Secluded, peaceful and romantic. Melinda and Jerry went out of their way to welcome and spoil us. From a welcoming chocolate cake and tea to delicious home cooked breakfasts. The little touches like fresh flowers in the room, candles in the bathroom, port and chocolates in the sitting room just topped the ambience of this beautiful home. We have stayed in many hotels in Bowral but none come close to this personalised and friendly service. We will be back again. Thank you Melinda and Jerry. Outstanding

I recently stayed at Darnell B&B to attend a wedding in Bowral it was perfect from the moment I arrived. I was greeted by Jerry and shown the most beautiful and spacious room including a spa bath in the en-suite. Afternoon tea was very welcome, a cuppa and a slice of Melinda’s chocolate cake. Breakfast by the fire was a real treat.
Jerry and Melinda were Excellent hosts even driving me to the wedding when the taxi didn’t show up. I highly recommend a stay here you won’t be disappointed.

A lovely little escape from the city. Wonderful hosts who were very welcoming and provided lots of suggestions for things to do in town. We loved our room, especially the spa bath! Amazing breakfast in the morning and the chocolate cake was to die for. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Hostess was warm and welcoming. Food was good. Chocolate cake delicious. Peaceful location. Bed firmer than we used to at home.
Wifi in room was lousy because of number of pits from provider. Because it rained loss of signal. Not the owners fault. Use 4G.

One of the nicest B&B's we have stayed at (and we have stayed at a few!). Friendly hosts, lovely room, on Mt Gibraltar close to Bowral and other towns in the Southern Highlands. Quiet surroundings with a bush outlook.

My girlfriend and I decided to go away from the city for a weekend and ws are super happy to have chosen Darnell Bed & Breakfast for our stay.
Jerry and Mel are amazing hosts, we have been welcomed with an awesome tea and a slice of chocolate cake made by Mel that was just amazing and they were always keen to have a chat or to make us feel home.
We stayed in the bay room, there s a lot of room and the king size bed was just great.
The private spa bath then was just perfect after a full day of walking.
If you re going around Bowral area you know where to go and I promise you won t regret it

Very quiet location, lovely hosts happy to help in anyway but also give you your privacy. Beautiful room, with comfy bed and large spa bath. Nice breakfast and yummy shortbread, chocs and muscat in the lounge. Highly recommended.

This may be the best B&B we've ever been to. Love the white room, very clean and very comfortable, nice view from the balcony as well! Thanks Mel and Jerry for the excellent hospitality! Love the breakfast and their 😍😍😋😋home made chocolate cake!!! 100% will come back here for another holiday stay!

Great B&B experience, charming rooms and location on Mount Gibraltar is both convenient and surrounded by nature. Mel, Jerry and Abby are lovely hosts, definitely hope to return.

Loved everything about this place. From the beautiful views, to the deco of each room, to the incredible homemade breakfast! Mel and Jerry are very welcoming hosts with great taste. Darnell is a luxurious escape that feels more like a home away from home.
