The practice started in Dandenong in 2000, and as demand and expertise grew, we have opened an office in William Street Melbourne. Both are close to the family court registry and mediation centres. The firm was originally established as Chris Woods & Associates at Dandenong, but then expanded and changed its name to reflect that we practice just family law.

Just Family Law are Divorce Lawyers who provide high quality advice and representation in all aspects of divorce law including separation, property settlements, parenting arrangements and financial arrangement for spousal support and child support. Our team of just family lawyers includes an Accredited Family Law Specialist and a team solely focused on family law, with over 40 years of combined experience.
Chris is a longstanding and prominent member of the family law profession. He has been an Accredited Family Law Specialist since 2001 and has been practicing in family law since 1997. Chris started his career in general commercial law before exclusively pursuing family law due to a predisposition and aptitude for the rights of the family, more so than corporations.
David joined Just Family Law in 2015 to continue his long career in family law. He was admitted to practice in 2001 and has practiced almost exclusively in family law since that time. David has experience dealing with all types of parenting and financial matters, from straight forward divorces to complex litigation about significant assets and everything in between.
Sally joined Just Family Law in 2012 and has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since her graduation from university in 2013 and admission in 2015. Sally's focus is on achieving the best outcomes for clients, in a practical and understanding manner during what can be a difficult time. She is passionate about family law and the rights of parents and children.

I had an excellent experience, first with Chris Woods, and then with Sally O'Connor, who professionally handled the settlement on my extended divorce matter. With offices next to the family courts in Melbourne CBD and Dandenong. and their focus on family law only, they were able to provide prompt action on my matter. I am a lawyer myself and have known Chris well for 4 years. Happily I haven't had to use his services and I although don't do family law I know enough to know that he knows his stuff as an accredited specialist in Family law and would assertively fight for his client's rights in the hard but fair way I observe him on the tennis court. I'd recommend him highly.
