Services
Our Artistic Creative Director is responsible for ensuring the perfect meshing of session work, editorial and commercial hair styling within Pulse Hair. Our Creative Stylist has a minimum of 5 years in salon experience creating personalised looks, unique and amazing colour techniques for our clients.
We at Pulse Hair are committed to creating a memorable luxury experience for you, and as such, we request you consider the below points in our Salon Etiquette Guide. You are sent an SMS in the lead up to your appointment. In receipt of this we ask that you confirm your appointment by replying Y. If you do need to reschedule, please phone us with at least 24hrs notice so that we can reschedule you.

Me and my aunty have moved up from Melbourne to Cairns and finding Pulse was a real gem. Craig and his team of girls are so professional and friendly and they really make you feel at home and comfortable. We’ve been there twice now and both experiences were amazing. We’re definitely coming back every time we need our hair done. They’ve earned a pair of very loyal customers and we couldn’t be happier.

Love Craig and his team at Pulse Hair have been coming to his salon for over 6 years. Have travelled and stayed in other states and countries but have never found a better hairstylist. My first port of call on my return home. Today is permanent hair straightening day, love this treatment and highly recommended.

I have been going to Pulse for years and my hair thanks me for it! Craig has been my day 1 and has been a huge help in managing my curly hair. From cutting my curly hair in beautiful styles, to Japanese hair straightening, he has been AMAZING for me. I also see Teagan and she absolutely slays my hair. Highly recommend the pulse team!

I chose Pulse Hair because they advertise themselves as “Excellence in Hair, Experts in Colour” and have excellent google reviews. After spending three days with my new hair colour (see pic), and everyone looking at my hair and averting their eyes with an uncomfortable silence, except one person who said it looks okay then warned me my hair would suffer breakage and she’d suggest I go back to my former colour, I decided to write a review, since it was the positive reviews that sent me to Pulse in the first place.

This is THE PLACE to get your hair chemically straightened! I was used to salons in London where I had previously had my hair chemically straightened so did have my doubts about whether any salon especially in Cairns (I know it is terribly judgmental) could reach the same standard. But I gave these guys a go and it EXCEEDED my expectations! The staff are friendly, professional and all down to earth. I have been here 3 times now! You are really looked after here - the salon is beautiful and clean with nice wallpaper and the most important thing of all is the quality of the chemical straightening

I have attempted to address my concerns. My main concern was the limited developing time causing the regrowth base colour has not fully penetrated to conceal resistant hair. I requested more information… regarding this process and was provided no further information or explanation. i had many products recommended which caused some confusion.

Wonderful first time experience at this salon. I had the permanent japanese hair straightening done. My before hair is wild and fizzy. After the treatment my hair turned out amazing. Definitely a worthwhile investment. Thank you so much too both Craig, Teagan and Bec who made my first time at Pulse amazing. This place is definitely my favorite in Cairns and I recommend anyone to book an appointment there!

I took my best friend to Pulse as a present, she has super curly natural hair and Craig the Creative Director of Pulse cut her hair. It is THE BEST HAIRCUT FOR HER CURLY HAIR I have ever EVER seen. Her… curls have never looked better, he cuts the curls individually and honestly they have never fallen so beautifully in all the years I have known her. I’m trying to convince her that we should fly back to Cairns every 3/4 months from NSW South Coast just to continue with Craig #magichairdressor Truly talented and very humble man 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Pulse Hair is a beautiful salon with gorgeous, professional and super friendly staff. I had the most amazing experience at pulse hair! Sam was my stylist, her customer service was a clients dream, her… knowledge base was incredible and she gave the greatest head massages. I left the salon feeling like a million dollars, and with fantastic hair! Pulse hair specialises in blondes and from my experience, Pulse Hair is the best salon in Cairns!
