Bayside Physiotherapy has provided a high level of service to the local community and sporting clubs since 1988. Our health professionals have a wide range of experience, and our philosophy is to provide a service that is highly skilled, professional and caring. We have a strong focus on providing hands-on treatment, rehabilitation exercises, and education to empower clients to manage their conditions themselves as much as possible.

We are focused on helping each individual client achieve their goals and maximum potential. We are open for face to face appointments during lockdown for urgent conditions as per the Victorian Government and Chief Allied Health Officer guidelines. If you are unwell or have any of the following symptoms - cough, sore throat, fever, shortness of breath, loss of taste/smell.
Services
Our Physiotherapists are members of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and stay ahead of the field with ongoing educational pursuits.

Skill sets and qualifications include; the treatment of spinal and peripheral joint injuries, muscle tears and strains, women's health, neurological conditions, post surgical rehabilitation, strength training programs, age related conditions, joint mobilisation, deep tissue massage, electrotherapy, dry needling, taping techniques and return to sport management.
Myotherapy will once again be available, as soon as lockdown restrictions ease in Victoria. Our myotherapist Mark Kelly will be available for appointments on Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Myotherapy uses remedial massage to assist with the recovery and function of muscles. Myotherapy can alleviate pain and stiffness associated with conditions such as headaches, neck pain, back pain, playing sport, and general tight muscles.
Telehealth allows physiotherapists to assess and treat patients over the phone or by video call. Liaise with your GP or specialist regarding your condition and refer you for scans such as x-ray and MRI if necessary. Our telehealth consultations are charged at $40 for a 30 minute consultation. If you wish to claim using private health insurance, you will need to contact your health fund to see if you are covered (code 811).
It's really important to have your ankle injury assessed as soon as possible to determine the severity of the injury. Physios can assess which structures have been injured whether that be ligament, tendon or bone, and help you to understand the severity and implications of your injury. The quicker you can have your ankle injury assessed, the sooner treatment can be commenced to get you back on your feet!
If you are someone that spends long periods of time sitting at your desk for work or study, you may experience repetitive strain on your neck, back, shoulders, elbows or wrists resulting in pain and injury. We have put together a short video which will give you some pointers on how to set-up your workstation at home to reduce the risk of these types of injuries.

The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly when I arrived. Pat was very knowledgeable and kind in helping me understand my injury and helping me get better. I will be recommending the Bayside Physio team to my family.

Really enjoyed this centre - Friendly staff, on time, nice receptionist.
The team here know their stuff and helped me get back on track within 2-3 sessions.
They also followed up in between sessions which kept me on track instead of taking the easier option and doing nothing.
Highly recommend

Laura is an exceptional physio. I have been suffering with chronic pain for years, and even after my first treatment I noticed a difference.
Laura is knowledgeable, proactive and provides the perfect combination of hands on treatment, as well arming you with information and excercises to avoid pain and injury in the future. I recommend her to all my friends and family.

I recently saw Pat for a longstanding knee problem. He was very thorough and diagnosed the problem straight away. After some treatment and some exercises, my knee was pain-free (for the first time in years!) and I was even able to get back into some running. I am so grateful to Pat. I highly recommend Bayside Physiotherapy!

I'd avoid this company. The receptionist screamed at me and hung up. I called back and she screamed at me again asking what I wanted.. Never been yelled at before for trying to book an appointment with a business. As I said to her I'll be going else where.

Been a regular here for some years now and I've been very happy with the services provided here. In the past I saw Brian frequently however as of the past year I've been dealing with Patrick- both are brilliant!
