Services
People visit psychologists for many different reasons which tend to fall under either Mental Health or Lifestyle Support. The most traditionally held view of what psychologists do is treating patients with mental health problems. These may include a range of mental illnesses, mood and anxiety disorders.
Sharon utilises selected assessments to assist with diagnosing varied conditions and to identify factors that may contribute to the client's sense of psychological wellbeing. Psychological assessments also aid target therapy to enhance treatment outcome. Patients may be self-referring or come with a referral from a GP or another health provider.
Sharon strongly believes that the role of a clinical psychologist is so much more than treating diagnosed mental health disorders. Sharon is passionate about empowering clients to improve health and mental wellbeing through directed lifestyle and nutritional changes.

Areas of support include but are not limited to: Weight management, managing disordered eating, self-esteem, adjustment, personal development, age related changes, infertility, pregnancy and perinatal (during pregnancy and post).Food, we all need to eat. However, what, when and how much we eat plays a major role upon our lives.
Are you living in a Rural and Remote Community and need to access psychological support? Did you know that you can access Medicare-funded psychological support via Telehealth? Psychological support is now available and more accessible and affordable than you may realise. Access to evidence-based psychological support is very limited for people living in rural communities.
Sharon is a qualified ACFED Eating Disorder and Obesity Prevention facilitator who is able to deliver the two-day Body Project & Project Health course offered by ACFED with the permission of Dr Eric Stice at the Oregon Research Institute. The two workshops have been developed and used at Stanford University, the University of Texas at Austin, and Oregon Research Institute.
