With over 15 years of experience in dentistry, Dr Mathew Elias, established Smile ConfiDENTAL's Strathfield location in 2012. After working with other public health and government dental clinics, Dr Elias desired to establish his own private practice. He enjoys helping those in Strathfield Homebush, Burwood achieve excellent oral health in a comfortable environment.
As a dental assistant, Soo is very passionate about helping patients and ensures they are comfortable. She is bright, always smiling and full of energy. She prides herself in her knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures and her knowledge of infection control protocols are great assets to our practice.

Dr Elias has 20 years experience in dentistry, having earned his BDSc in 1996. He completed his Australian Dental Council (ADC) examinations in Sydney in 2007, and then worked for Queensland Health at Rockhampton Base Hospital, Rockhampton, QLD and for a private practice at Yapoon, QLD.
On relocating to NSW, Dr Elias worked at a private practice in East Gosford, NSW, for a couple of years before joining a corporate insurance company as a dentist at Bondi Junction, Sydney, where he worked for about five years.Dr Elias completed his Masters in Public Health (MPH) at the University of Wollongong in 2007, and Graduate Certificate in Dentistry (GCert Dent) from the University of Adelaide in 2009.

Each dental exam assesses your oral and periodontal health, including an oral cancer screening and TMJ assessment. X-rays assist us in identifying conditions that are not visible during the clinical exam. We recommend scheduling an exam every six months. The ADA reports that approximately 16% of all Australian adults have a high fear of dental care.

Great dentist, been coming here for almost 10 years and Dr Elias has always been very informative and patient.
Been to about 6-7 dentists in the past and none have been as thorough as Dr Elias with any procedure.
Had my braces, a couple of in-chair surgeries and regularly come in for cleans, wouldn't even try going anywhere else.
Side Note: literally the only place that cleans my teeth properly. All the others I've gone to, still come out with stains etc. That's not normal folks!

Dr Mathew Elias took me in late on a Saturday afternoon when I was in a world of pain and no other dental practice would take me. He gently and skilfully repaired the damage and alleviated my pain. What a relief! Very grateful.

My family and I have been with Smile Confidental, and we have had no problems. Dr Elias has fixed up my teeth tremendously, it was originally all twisted and turned but over the course of braces he fixed up my teeth and I can surely say I am able to 'Smile Confidentally'. I would recommend Dr Elias and his team to anybody in need of dental care.

I was shopping around for Invisalign quote when a friend recommended me Dr. Elias - and I could not thank my friend enough.
I find Dr.Elias very down to earth, and not commercialised like other dentists in flashy clinics that I have been to. He charges a very reasonable price for Invisalign compare to other dentists, and only does dental treatments that are necessary. He always takes the time to explain to me what’s going on and never rushes me to make decision.
Fast forward 13months later, my teeth never looked this good and I am very satisfied with my Invisalign result. I am very happy with
