Services
Practice accreditation is independent recognition that a practice has met the requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. These standards reflect regulatory requirements passed down by both Federal and State Governments and are evidence based with a clear focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement of protocols and implementation of best practice for a patient's continued care.
Payment for any dental treatment is payable on the day the treatment is provided, unless other arrangements are made in advance. Several payment methods are available. We have EFTPOS facilities that allow you to settle your account with most credit and debit cards, and also accept cash or cheque. For those patients with dental health funds, we offer HICAPS for on the spot claiming.
Most people covered by private dental cover are able to choose which dentist will provide their dental care. However, some health funds are attempting to force their members to see a health funds' dentist of choice or 'preferred provider'. The term 'preferred' is misleading as it insinuates that the dentist has met a higher standard of care than other dentists.
Dal is a 2000 Bachelor of Dental Surgery graduate from the University of Adelaide. He has a biochemistry background and is a 1994 Bachelor of Science Degree graduate from the University of British Columbia. He is originally from the west coast of Canada, and now calls Australia home. His friendly, caring, informative approach puts his patients at ease.
Tess focuses on promoting oral health by providing education and preventive care through both clinical and therapeutic methods. She is hoping to help patients maintain healthy teeth and gums throughout their lives. Trish has spent many years in the Dental industry, including almost 30 years as a registered Dental Hygienist.

After 30 years going to the same dentist we came to FHDC when he retired and we haven't regretted the choice.
There are several reasons:
- Dal's calm professional manner & his willingness to fully & clearly explain the process he is recommending
- the lack of pressure to have work done if it is optional
- the friendly, welcoming attitude from everyone in the practice
- efficient time keeping that means appointments run on time
And I can even take my iPod to deaden the noise of the drill!

I find Dal and the team at Flagstaff Hill Dental to be super professional, kind, warm and incredibly friendly. I have not had good experiences with dentists in the past, but that has been completely different here, and now I won’t go to any other dentist. Dal explains everything clearly, and doesn’t do any work that isn’t necessary. I always feel safe and supported and now my fear of dentists is a thing of the past. I never feel rushed or like just another patient, they are personable and inviting, and always have time to answer my questions, nothing is too much trouble! I honestly love Dal

I've been attending Flagstaff Hill Dental for many years now and the staff are always super friendly and professional. They always take the time to talk you through exactly what's required at each visit. They don't do no unnecessary treatment and when I've had to have any work done it's always complete to the highest standard. Highly recommend this practice.

I had been to a dentist and I was advice to get my tooth extracted surgically. Then my friend recommended Flagstaff Dental. It was all over in 20 minutes. Not only I saved money but it was totally painless. Great team and good service. I would blindly recommend anybody this place. Excellent and professional. So happy and relieved.

The staff are always friendly and welcoming which is especially helpful for nervous customers!
I can’t speak highly enough of the service I have received- Tess and Lori the hygienists are always fantastic and very gentle. I have complete confidence in Dal and Pam who always explain everything and always put me at ease. Highly recommended.

I couldn’t recommend this dentist any higher! I have been going here for years and recently wasn’t able to and had to try another one and nothing compares to here! I was so happy to hear they had re opened as I was dreading going anywhere else! All the staff are so caring, kind, welcoming and they always find a way to help you. Pam has been my dentist for 20 years and Dal for 10. They have both always been fantastic, with every visit being positive and totally pain-free! I've just had 6 porcelain veneers fitted and couldn't be happier, Pam made sure they were perfect and exactly what I wanted. I love my new beautiful, natural looking teeth! I found this dentist to be very friendly and reassuring staff. it brought nothing but peace of mind and comfort, knowing I was in very good hands. Their were very kind and understanding...Compared to other… dentist I've been in the past where their seem to be cold and treat you like your back at high school in the principles office. I had a root canal done and will be going there in future for other dental needs. I'm recommend my wife to get a check up there too thank you again flagstaff hill dental care.
