We aim to to ensure that Shepherds Hill Dental Centre feels more like a home, rather than a sterile and clinical dental practice. Our practice was originally architecturally designed and built as a dental clinic, which means that it could be tailor-made rather than 'squeezing' equipment into a pre-existing space.
Every staff member at Shepherds Hill Dental Centre from the person answering the phone or greeting you at the door, to the dentist looking in your mouth, embodies their approach to you around our three core values of integrity, excellence and care. Honesty, transparency and exceptional communication are a key part of our values and approach, so that you always feel informed, relaxed and in control with our gentle dentists.
Shepherds Hill Dental Centre, Blackwood is located 250 metres on from the Blackwood roundabout on the southern side of Shepherds Hill Road. On Shepherds Hill Road you will find us between Brighton Parade and Woodleigh Street, opposite Anytime Fitness. We have ample complimentary parking at the rear of our building and there is also a dedicated space at the front of the building for handicapped or pram access.
Our wonderful team at the front desk can help you with general payment queries, while our dentists Dr Renee and Dr Tharaka will discuss details about the cost of treatment during your consultation. After you've been in to see the dentist, we kindly ask you to pay your fees at the front desk. If you think you may have problems affording your dental bill, please call us before your appointment so we can try to help.

After many tough years and some difficult situations at different dentists it was refreshing to finally find a place I felt comfortable. From the first time I came into Shepherds Hill Dental Care I have felt calm and supported. I never have anxiety about going, which was at an all time high at other places. The staff are so friendly and genuinely caring. I have recommended them to others and everyone has come out feeling the same. I recommend them so highly.

Quite literally the Shepherds Hill Dental Clinic saved my life. It was their diligence that led to my timely diagnosis of having Acute Myeloid Leukemia when no symptom other than a minor dental issue was evident. But for their advice to that I seek a medical review it would have been too late. Their dental care and attention in these years following my treatment and stem cell transplant has been nothing short of extraordinary.

I used to gp tp Shepherds Hill Dental Clinic years ago until I moved interstate. On my return to SA I returned to this dental clinic. Even though there were new owners by that stage I found the current practice to be just as good as before. Tharaka (dentist) is very thorough and professional, is a great communicator and has a wonderful sense of humour. All of the dental hygienists I have had here are very caring and very professional in their work. Likewise the reception staff are very welcoming. I would not hesitate in recommending this practice to others.

This Dental centre is the best! All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and equipment is tops. My experience with the dentist and hygienist has been the best I have ever come across. They have explained everything in detail and are extremely gentle providing the best possible care. They care about you as a person. They are upfront about the cost proving you with several options including understanding your health fund rebates.

I've found a Dentist that I can finally trust, as my run of Dentist's in Adelaide has not been good. To the point I didn't trust a Dentist.
I described what I thought of Dentist's in general and to Dr. Jasper's credit, had a caring heart, and clawed back any distrust I had towards the Dentistry Profession, and did an excellent job on my set of teeth. I can honestly recommend Shepherds Hill Dental Center, and recommend them to my wife. Now she is coming too.

Have been a patient here for many years. It’s really nice to walk in and be met with a familiar face and for them to remember important things about you. Im never kept waiting and most importantly I’m not nervous or anxious when I’m in the chair, very calming and reassuring. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I have been going to this Dentist for over 30 years. I have always had great care from the Receptionist Natalie through to my now Dentist Dr Tharaka also Dr Renee. Always friendly. Have always been shown great respect and always on time for my appointments.
Have always been looked after so well with any dental emergencies I have had over the years.
