The gold content is assessed at the outset by identifying the hallmark, a number marked on your jewellery that indicates what the gold content is. For example, 24 carat gold has the highest gold content and 8 carat has the lowest.

For anyone needing to buy or sell watches and/or jewellery I had excellent service from Sas at Alpha Buying Co who has a wealth of knowledge about gold, silver, diamonds, watches and all jewellery... Easy to find and super convenient location near the QVB; I just popped in on my lunch break. I'll be going back and highly recommend that others do too!
