Services
The staff of Workplace Physiotherapy has been providing injury management services to injured workers since 1990. We are regarded as an industry leader as a result of our skills, experience, qualifications and work-related outcomes. Our staff have written papers and presented at conferences and courses on the subject.
The assessment involves a review of the acute injury and implementation of appropriate evidence-based interventions. Gain an understanding of critical job demands required for resumption of pre-injury duties. Provide information regarding injury recovery, reassurance and prompt resumption of all activities.
Our Exercise Physiologists are university trained specialists accredited by Exercise and Sports Science Australia and are registered under Medicare Australia, Department of Veterans' Affairs, SIRA NSW and a number of private health funds. Our Exercise Physiologists have advanced programming and clinical reasoning skills and base their design, implementation, evaluation and exercise prescription on up to date scientific evidence.
The Early Work Related Activity Intervention is aimed at finalising certification for capacity for work to pre-injury levels through a primarily physical-based approach. The program is aimed at workers who are having difficulties with achieving upgrading or a final pre-injury duties Certificate of Capacity.
Individual Clinical Psychology Assessments are recommended when either physical barriers do not exist or that they are being addressed externally by Workplace Physiotherapy. Workers are required to complete extensive psychometric questionnaires prior to the assessment.
The psychology assessment involves a one hour consultation assessing relevant history associated with the clients' persistent pain and determining the need for further psychological treatment.The assessment includes a clinical interview, psychometric measures and liaison with relevant treating parties and stakeholders.
