Koikas Acoustics was founded in 1992 by Nick Koikas. Since then Koikas Acoustics has become one of Australia's leading consultancy firm & acoustic engineer, specialising in all aspects of noise and vibration control. Sound and noise are such an integral part of our world.

However, in the construction of buildings, or motorways, or the opening of a brand new entertainment venue, it is necessary to take steps to properly plan for the sound that will be created and how it will impact both within the structure, and in the surrounding environs.An acoustic engineer is crucial to successfully creating something new or to find solutions that reduce the net effect and as a result, benefit all stakeholders.

Our staff are members of the Australian Acoustical Society and are fully qualified and experienced in the acoustical and vibration disciplinary fields. This experience has been acquired through research & development and consulting for the government and private sectors. Accurate and precision type noise and vibration monitoring instrumentation are utilised on our projects.

We needed an acoustic test done for our engineered floorboard application to meet the bylaws in an apartment building. The Koikas team was very responsive and despite the end of lock down craziness of demand for their services, they fitted us in and meet our specifications with a smile. Koikas Acoustics assisted our process with noise testing services for a ground floor unit we have just purchased. Michael took time out to peruse our Strata By Laws and requirements requested by Strata and raise certain requirements which he found not to be necessary within a very quick turn around. Michael was very helpful, insightful and his knowledge of acoustic testing was second to none. We are most grateful to him for resolving our concerns so promptly.
