A Head Start Children's Centres are small, beautiful and homely, providing excellent care and an outstanding educational program that prepares children for school and life. A Head Start provides a very home like environment for children, as it remains small and is able to be flexible in meeting the needs of the children who attend.
The staff genuinely love and enjoy the children and it is touching to watch them interact. The caring and professional nature of the educators, as well as the excellent curriculum and beautiful learning environment have been above and beyond for our three children. We have been so impressed by the low turnover of staff and delighted to see many of the same lovely faces over the 7 years our family has been a part of the A Head Start family.

First five years of life is critical. As 90% of brain development happens before age five. From birth to age five years a child's brain develops more than at any other time in life. Early brain development has a lasting impact on a child's ability to learn and succeed in school and life.

I have worked at A Head Start Currumbin for over 7 years and it certainly stands out among the other early childhood centres on the Coast. With a warm, welcoming team of passionate educators and a very supportive and professional director I couldn't ask for a better work environment. The children and families that have come through our centre are a great reflection of the values we maintain at A Head Start. A great sense of community has been created within our centre here in beautiful Currumbin.

A Head Start Currumbin is an excellent Kindy that offers a beautiful environment for your child to thrive in. The staff at the center take on a professional approach and show genuine interest and connection with each individual child and their families. The facility allows the children to follow their curiosity and sense of adventure with the amazing outdoor area.

Both my kids attend the centre and they have been there since babies. The centre is lovely and well maintained, but the best thing about the centre? The staff!!!! The educators are fantastic - their communication with parents is outstanding and I love how they are firm but so lovely at the same time. They are a great role model to the kids and some of them treat the kids as their own.
If I ever had a problem? Yes, of course! But the way they take your feedback is great. They act straight away and address your concerns leaving you with no more worries.

Some of the educators we experienced were wonderful but sadly micro managed, unsupported and end up leaving resentful. Had repeated issues with cleanliness of the centre, aircon units not being maintained, when on during summer could smell dust and mould. Owners would often complain of administrative issues and challenges to parents which seemed very out of place and not required. We ended up not enrolling our second child to the centre and went elsewhere as internal issues only seemed to escalate and reputation suffered.
