Our oldest daughter, Isabelle, started at Gumnuts on Hardy's Road when she was 10 months old. At the beginning, like most of other parents, I had mixed emotions and tonnes of worries about her not being able to adjust to the new environment. However, not long after talking to the educators on that first day, most of my worries were gone.
The staff members are so friendly and easy to talk to and after being shown around the centre. Thank you to all the staff members for your great work. If you are looking for an environment to send your children to that feels like home, then Gumnuts is the place to go. Our son Bryce has grown so much in the time that he has been there.

Services
Liala Davighi was studying philosophy at the University of New South Wales, during which time she had her first baby and her first experience in child care. The campus child care services were full with wait lists in the hundreds. Along with other students, she petitioned the students union and within nine months the university funded a house and the students organised a child care cooperative.
Our centre wide philosophy is inspired by various early childhood theories, frameworks and practices as well as the knowledge and experiences of our current educators and leadership team. With its base forged by our responsibility to comply with National Quality Standards for Early Years Care (NQS) and the National Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), together we have established eight pillars which form the core of our philosophy.
Dubbed as the "best early years program in the world" by Newsweek, the Reggio Emilia approach centres on young children's natural curiosity for learning. Working in collaboration with educators, families and the wider community, children are encouraged to explore, investigate, marvel and wonder as they discover the world around them.

The staff are approachable, friendly and caring. The centre is a good size not too large or small. The ethos and atmosphere created make for a good learning environment. My son is coming on leaps and bounds here and my wife and I are very happy with Gumnuts. Highly recommended.

We love Gumnuts! Our son has been attending gumnuts now for 3 months and we can't fault them. They have been so accommodating with my changing work roster and they have been so supportive with helping our son to settle into daycare. Our son was quite upset when he first started going but with the help of the director (Juliana) and his educators (In particular Andrea + Fernanda however they are all lovely!) he settled within a couple of weeks and now loves going to daycare.
I always feel so welcomed and like nothing is too much of a problem. I feel very confident that our son is being cared for

Our son came here for a few months in the toddler room - Joeys room. While the centre manager Barb and Miss Jaz were amazing the other carers in the room were not. Sometimes when I dropped him off I didn't get a hello and when my son was crying as sometimes they do instead of cuddles he got ignored. I know this because I could hear him outside and waited a few mins and then went in and the girls were talking and ignoring him. Also if you read about the centre on the go website regarding accreditation it clearly states they require more work on relationships with children. So even though there are
