Louise graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 2003. Since graduating Louise has worked in a variety of health settings at The Canberra Hospital, in Community Health Centres, injury prevention & management unit in ACT Health and in private practice around Canberra gaining experience in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions.
Louise began working in the specialty area of hand physiotherapy in 2006 and was soon to realise that this is where her interest laid. In 2013 Louise completed USA based specialisation exams in hand therapy to become the first Certified Hand Therapist in Canberra.

Hands-On Physiotherapy have a team of occupational therapists and physiotherapists with a wealth of experience in managing hand and upper-limb injuries. We are able to make custom-made splints to suit the individual or can help you choose from a variety of pre-fabricated splints. A referral letter is helpful, and we are always happy to discuss via phone or converse by letter/email to achieve the best outcomes. Treatment services provided include static and dynamic splinting, Graded Motor Imagery (GMI), heat, massage, ultrasound, joint mobilisations, wound and scar care, strengthening, sensory re-education and advice.
Your first appointment will cover a holistic assessment of your needs and begin the treatment process.
