Our core focus is to provide effective, evidence-based physical rehabilitation to improve the quality of life of people living with neurological conditions, complex movement issues, dizziness, and pain.The therapy we offer at Neurospace is particularly targeted at long-standing, complex, neurological issues that may require more intensive, innovative, or prolonged management.
Services
Deborah has worked with neurological and complex rehabilitation clients for 35+ years, after graduating from Lincoln Institute in 1985. Her Masters by research was completed at the University of South Australia in 1997, and her thesis encompassed exploration of postural control, dizziness and brain injury.
Our therapy is particularly targeted at complex movement problems that may be contributing to unsteadiness and pain. We are proud to be able to help almost anyone with movement difficulties and we place emphasis on you gaining quality of life and meaning from our therapy to create a 'Benefit for Life'.
Neurospace has a special interest in helping people with movement problems due to damage to the nervous and or sensory systems. We also have a special interest in healthy ageing and wellness, helping you stay strong and healthy. We work closely with you and your carers to integrate your wellness program and ideas into your everyday.
Since opening in 2008, Neurospace has continually evolved to meet the growing demands of the surrounding community. We currently employ over twenty therapists and administration staff who enjoy rewarding work, in a supportive and professional environment. Neurospace understands that the key to delivering successful and meaningful therapy outcomes to our clients lies in our ability to employ skilled, driven, and passionate people.
You only need a doctor's referral if you wish to claim through the Department of Veterans Affairs or through your insurance company e.g. Workcover, Comcare), or if you use an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) package. You can claim a portion of your appointment from Medicare so long as you have an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) referral from your doctor.
