Services
All the psychologists at Dennison Psychology are recognized as healthcare professionals by Australia's regulatory body (AHPRA) and the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Furthermore, they can all can provide Medicare rebates.

To obtain this recognition, our psychologists had to demonstrate to AHPRA that they completed sufficient training (through accredited programs, that taught 'evidence-based' treatment and required them to complete 'on-the-job' experience). There are so many psychologists, counselors, life coaches, psychotherapists, and social workers in Melbourne.
The matching process involves a 10 minute telephone appointment, with the practice's principal psychologist. During this telephone call, your treatment goals will be discussed. If you have a previous experience of therapy, what you did and didn't find helpful will be explored, so as it can be determined which psychologist may be best aligned to your current treatment needs at Dennison Psychology.

I have had two very different experiences at this clinic. While the first person I saw here was great. Transferring to another in order to use an eating disorder plan was a disaster. After me going through a three month process of getting this plan in place. The clinician, despite this being the reason I transferred to her in the first place three months beforehand, decided that she wasnt keen to use this plan to fund my treatment. From talking to other health professionals her reasoning was a personal choice. I'm ultimately left very confused, traumatized and in a very chaotic place internally

Went there when I was having a hard time and they taught me loads of great life skills in a few months. Worth it if you need it! Better than blotting yourself out.

I have been to a few psychologists (and psychiatrists!). Before I attended Dennison Psychology, I felt like therapists had no idea how to help me. I decided to try one last time and I am so glad I did. Highly recommend!! :)
