Gary is the original instructor and owner of First Gear School of Driving - he excels at manual driving lessons and has one of the highest students pass rates on the Gold Coast. Gary has assisted more than 160+ students gain their independence and pass their provisional drivers test. Gary's services the Beenleigh and Logan Qld Transport Departments.
Keys2drive is providing a free driving lesson to learner licence holders, which brings the learner and their parent/supervisor together with a Keys2drive accredited professional driving instructor. The Keys2drive free lesson aims to change the way learners drive by changing the way they learn, helping them to becoming a safer P-plate driver.
Keys2drive is a revolutionary approach to learning road safety and the free driving lesson is an opportunity for the learner driver, driving instructor and parent/supervisor to learn it together. The free lesson goes for 60 minutes, during which the Keys2drive accredited driving instructor will explain the Keys2drive learning approach - 'Find Your Own Way' - and offer examples of how it can be used when learning to drive.

First Gear were excellent at teaching my daughter to drive. We had initial concerns as she has been diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum and can be a difficult student. First Gear's instructors were patient and punctual. Giving notice if events were to cause a late arrival which was appreciated. They also coped very well with us changing the schedule which as a busy family happened often. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to get their children taught with clarity and patience.

I previously had a bad experience with another driving school which really put me off lessons, but after having 4 lessons with Gary Taylor, I passed my practical driving test first go with no mistakes recorded!
Gary was super friendly, helpful and made me feel really comfortable.
