It is 1972 and local GP Bill Russell and his wife Yula are busy raising their family of three children. With not much more than an idea, they set about building their vision: a convenient home away from home for travellers, tradies and tourists. Upon checking in our room was disgustingly dirty and even previous guests hair was all over the bathroom. Flat surfaces had not been cleaned, microwave still had food scraps in it, hallways smelt like cigarettes.
I spent 1 hour cleaning the room just to make it hygienic for my children.
When this was raised with reception the response was they were having issues cleaning due to COVID! What a joke, hygiene and cleanliness should be at the forefront in the current climate.

Our room (402) shared a door and wall to a neighbours kitchen/living room. We could hear all talking and cooking as if they were in the same room. This goes the same for the smells as it all bled through. We ended up not getting any sleep, even with pillows over our heads.
I have a feeling this is specific to the room we were in. The neighbours weren't being intentionally loud, just the soundproofing is non existent. If you value basic comfort like sleep, avoid this place.
The staff were friendly and accommodating and the place was clean. Easy parking and convenient next to a coles and a bottle

Not hygienic. I had my multiple skin spots bitten by bed bugs during my 3 days stay in this hotel. The service and location are good but make sure you hang the cleaning request sign on the door knob for cleaning service (which is different to other hotels where you put the don’t disturb sign if you don't want cleaning)

Friendly and very helpful staff.
My daughter left her favourite toy behind. Contacted the hotel who said they would keep an eye out. Two days later, we received a call to say the toy had been found. My daughter and toy were reunited a few days later when passing back through.

I'm giving this a 1 star solely based on the fact I didn't feel safe. There was a person cracked out of their minds running up and down the corridor at 2am banging on doors and yelling. I didn't sleep because of that reason and I became painfully aware that the doors are not appropriately soundproof or have any sound dampening.
There was nothing wrong with the amenities, the room was cleaned to an adequate standard. I thought that the bathroom was nice and the room was decorated tastefully. The staff at the front desk were nice.

Rooms are clean and spacious,the beds are comfortable enough. The kitchenette is poorly stocked with utensils and the cook top consists of a camp stove stored in the cupboard that takes forever to even boil water let alone heat the terrible pans, don't plan on cooking. Having said that the rooms are alright for the price.
