Since forming in 1994, ACT Geotechnical Engineers have consulted for industrial, commercial and mining companies, statutory bodies and government departments. Led by principal geotechnical engineer Jeremy Murray, we are a small but highly skilled team of engineers. Due to the boutique size of our firm, we pride ourselves on being approachable, responsive and committed to the needs of our clients and projects.

Our experienced geotechnical consultants ensure every project is completed to a professional standard, even under time-critical deadlines. Our enthusiastic approach, good quality advice and efficient service has earned us a solid reputation within the construction industry. We provide practical engineering solutions specifically tailored to work for each job that we complete.
Services
Those in the know seek our advice first on complicated geotechnical engineering issues. Our history as a geotechnical and geological consultancy has spanned nearly thirty years. We initially operated in Canberra in 1985 as Peter J Burgess & Associates, before forming ACT Geotechnical Engineers in 1994.
Our successful and timely completion of highly complex projects confirm our positon as Canberra's geological experts for the engineering and construction industry. The disused Long Street Quarry was a set for the feature film "Hacksaw Ridge", where actors/stunt men had to climb up and down faces of the quarry.
