Greg Duffy started as an employed Solicitor with Michael Frankel & Co. Solicitors in 1993. With the inception of Frankel Lawyers he commenced as a Partner with Michael Frankel and Raena Lea-Shannon in 2005. He specialises in Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law, particularly in the areas of Film, Television, Literature, Theatre, New Media and Trademarks.
We work in those parts of the Australian Consumer Law dealing with misleading or deceptive conduct, misrepresentation, passing off. We have experience in enforcing rights and seeking remedies including seeking injunctions restraining improper reproduction, publication, communication to the public or sale of goods and services infringing the Australian Consumer Law.
We work extensively in employment law for employees, employers, independent contractors, unions, trade and professional associations, clubs, charities and government agencies. The work requires thorough knowledge and experience in industrial law, contract law and litigation. Apart from drafting suites of documents for employment and business, we also litigate in the areas.
Partner Michael Frankel, has been personally involved with concerts and public events since his mid-teens when he was involved with the early tours of popular international rock music groups such as Deep Purple, Free, Manfred Mann, Pink Floyd, and others. Provided legal advice to the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG) in relation to public cultural events and on Intellectual Property matters.
